We started with basic obedience training when our Vizsla, Joop was just a pup. I was genuinely amazed at how Justin managed to teach our stubborn boy anything. After that, we kept in touch. I told Justin I wanted Joop to come with me to construction job-sites and the office every day, but I also wanted to give him something more engaging to burn off that high-octane hunting-dog energy. Since I’m not much of a bird hunter, Justin recommended a long-term plan: bring Joop back once he matured a bit for more advanced public obedience, then follow it up with game tracking training so he could be helpful at our hunting lease—tracking deer and hogs. Fast-forward to today: Joop is a 70-pound off-leash construction site dog who travels everywhere with me confidently and obediently. When it’s time to work, he throws on his vest and locks into tracking mode like a pro. Can’t recommend High Boot enough. Justin gets dogs, and just as importantly—he gets their owners.
