The owner is extremely rude, shaming of the owners and does not provide tangible feedback for how to actually train your dog. She literally said verbatim "your dog is F--- Up and a basket case." That was the extent of her "help." Be very careful before you join her classes and dog daycare. Her lecture style teaching is not interactive or frankly all that helpful. If you like be yelled out and made to feel bad, this place is for you!

We didn't realize this class was going to use prong collars, spray bottles, and shake cans. We didn't like how she made everyone buy a prong collar from her to start the first class without asking, and then its twice the price from her than it is online. We only went to the first class. After talking to other dog trainers and dog owners, we decided that this training style was not for us and not for our puppy. When asked for a refund for the remaining classes, they refused, although we did not plan to attend any other class. They said that we should have known that they do "balanced" training but this is out first dog, and we did not have time to dive deep into the research of all the training terms, that's why we were signing up for a class. We agree with the other reviewers who didn't feel good about the attitude, and wish we had read the reviews here before signing up. Also there is no phone number which is a red flag.

As a gift, right at the beginning of Covid, I was given a dog. My first pet as an adult. He was (is) sweet and docile but I quickly began to notice that he was becoming fearful of more and more things. As a career coach, I pride myself on reading and being able to help humans work and move through difficult stages and goals, but with dogs … I had no idea. I began to be fearful in taking him out because I was worried he’d startle and run away. I couldn’t trust his behavior. He was sweet, but I had no rules for him. I tried a couple of positive only training courses and had no success. My dog was uninterested in moving through things the way I knew how to do it. Then I found High Drive. The best comparison I have for that foundations class is how I felt the first time I got glasses and went outside in the 7th grade. I went from very fuzzy vision to being able to see twigs on the branches high up on the tree. I’d been given a way to see. I know humans, I do NOT know dogs. The foundations class helped me treat my dog like a dog, not a human. The advanced class taught me that I am fully capable of getting my dog to step out of fear and into the behaviors I needed to see in order to trust him. AND I’M THE ONE WHO IS MAKING IT HAPPEN NOW! I highly recommend anything they offer. Anything. The best advice I can give you is trust this process. Trust Carly. Trust their team. My dog loves life, is off leash running around and safe and trusted. And best of all, I feel the freedom of knowing I can communicate with him and navigate new behaviors. Dulcy Booth

Please pay attention to the bad reviews, they are spot on. Carly is rude and not a people person, I get that, I can even relate to it. I can deal with it, I work in the trades and I'm considered old school. We had to draw the line tonight, we signed up for puppy training and we had been at 4 classes and beyond the attitude it seemed to going good. We decided to enroll in daycare classes and purchased 5 days. I went to drop off the pup and was quickly scolded for not following the directions for drop off, OK my mistake, I'm a big boy, I'll take my scolding and move on. I arrived for pick up and the pup was released and very happy to me, so much he pee'd on the spot. OK, not the strange but I got the uneasy feeling. My wife went to drop him off this morning and was met with the standard Carly attitude, she asked if she could see the facility and was quickly denied and told to leave the dog or leave. She left with the dog and and stopped to see another similar service near by, she asked for a tour of their facility and the quickly did so. We mentioned where we were previously and had asked for the same tour and denied, they made a comment about similar concerns. Fast forward 6 hours to puppy training tonight, my wife asked about refunding our daycare purchases, she was asked to leave or Carly would call the police. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Buyer beware. I did not take any exception to her methods or really put alot of thought about the attitude, but when she denied a tour of the facility and the response to the question about a refund for services not rendered. Why will she not let you see her facilities? Why does she threaten to call the law when asked about a refund? Something stinks and needs to checked out! We will continue seek some some remedy to the costs of services not rendered and will be looking into how the public can have a sense of what is happening at High Drive Dog Company. Trust you gut!!!

After having attended classes with my dog 7 years ago, I decided to give Carly another chance, and enrolled in her "Foundation Series" for my one year old dog. I agree completely with the previous reviewers who have commented about Carly's abrasiveness and arrogance. Not completing the series or the package of daycare classes I purchased because of Carly's unprofessional and hostile behavior. Additionally, this class was overpopulated starting with 16 dogs and their owners. It's hardly worth your dog being there since Carly does teach this as a "lecture class," and your dog is forced to maintain a down-stay for the vast majority of each class. If you like this style of teaching you'd be better using an online training class unless you're looking for you and your dog to be disrespected and disparaged repeatedly. Even when her curtness was addressed the response given was that she's "not a wallflower." I would rate High Drive with zero stars if that was an option.
