I recently moved to North Carolina and needed to find a trainer to complete service dog training that we started back in Arizona. Highland came highly recommended to me by a local. I called and left a message for Wendy and she returned my call promptly the next day. WOW. I was impressed with Wendy right from the first chat! She was AMAZING. Very personable, great listener, genuinely interested in you and your dog. You could tell how passionate she feels about training. Highland and their team believes in training from the lens a dog sees the world through which is important. Humans really need the most training because we seek a way to gain control but what we need is an understanding. Once you know how a dog thinks obedience comes naturally as the dog gains trust and confidence in you as the pack leader. Take your pup here! The prices are reasonable, even for private training. You can do training with a trainer in your own home! They work with you and your budget to fit your needs and goals. Do yourself and your dog a favor. ❤️🐶🐾

Zeus & I completed our 6 weeks of private lessons 3 days ago & he is a completely different dog because of it. Not only has Wendy taught us many skills over the past 6 weeks that will last us a lifetime, but these skills have improved our everyday life. I won't lie, training is a difficult journey & requires a lot of time & dedication, but you will be beyond thankful & proud when you see your hard work pay off. Wendy worked with our dog (and us!) on basic obedience. She was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. She was flexible if there was a scheduling issue. She was easy to get in touch with and quick to answer if we had issues come up in between classes and wanted advice. She offered lots of helpful tips in working with our "fur baby" and even was able to identify a skill set she had that we weren't aware of. We are looking forward to working with Wendy further on training!
