Fast forward a year, as much as we have loved Lauren and treated her like family I’m sad to say some things have changed. We have always supported her business through other neigh-sayers and trusted her completely I only wish she would talk with us and share what went on as we were completely shocked. We paid her for pet sitting in our home for a long trip that had been scheduled for months, which she has done on several Occasions in the past. We always left food and drinks for her at the house. She had asked for payment a couple of months early as she had some unexpected financial things come up. Given how much we loved and trusted her we paid the full amount ahead of time and then left a cash tip at the house and sent her a second tip via Venmo when we were gone. For the 2+ weeks she did not stay at our house, we didn’t know what was happening with Jagger during the day other than he was at her apartment. We don’t know if he was left in a crate all day or what. We kept telling ourselves not to worry, but being on the other side of the world it was so hard. She dropped him at our house as we agreed on a couple of hours before we got home. He was stressed, had severe diarrhea for 3 days and just not his normal self. We don’t know for sure what caused it but he has a sensitive stomach and we don’t know what he was fed as his food was at our house. She has ghosted us since, when we offered to take her to lunch or dinner to thank her for watching him, only saying she couldn’t afford to go out. It was our treat and we had bought her gifts on our trip we wanted to give her. Haven’t heard from her since. She previously walked him twice a week and sat for him numerous times. We wish her the best, just would like to understand why she did this and hope others haven’t had the same. Lauren has been walking and pet sitting with Jagger since he was about 4 months old. We are very grateful for her dedication, support, dependability and consistent work, not only in walking him and staying with him when we are gone, but her help in teaching him all things a puppy needs to grow up with manners and to be a good fur family member. He is happy and has flourished thanks to her helping us. To say he loves her is an understatement, and is he is always so excited to see her when she comes. Given his breed we are very selective in who takes him and is with him, and we just can't say enough about how appreciative we are for all she does. I feel very comfortable when I know he is with her.
