Right from the start, I could see he had some serious behavior issues. I knew I didn’t have the time or experience to work with him and get him where he needed to be. He was aggressive in a fearful way—more confidence issues than anything—and he was "bitty" (snappy) when overwhelmed. If he had ended up at a shelter, they almost certainly would have labeled him too aggressive and put him down. Hilton and his family took on this challenge without hesitation. They gave me back a confident, well-adjusted puppy who can now grow into himself without letting fear take over. I will always be so grateful for what they did. There are dog trainers who teach commands, and then there is Hilton Butler. After losing one of our beloved dogs of many years, we decided to bring two Golden Retriever puppies into our lives. While we were excited, we knew we needed professional help to get it right. The "Rockstar" transformation of our puppies was immediate. The level of training Hilton provides is truly unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed. To have two young puppies come home already crate-trained, sleeping without whining, and essentially house-broken with almost zero accidents is a miracle in itself. However, the real test came with our older dog. He wasn't exactly thrilled about the new additions, and the tension in our home was stressful for everyone. Hilton didn’t just train the puppies; he took our senior dog under his wing, too. He and his wife, Christine, went above and beyond, even keeping the dogs an extra week to ensure the integration was seamless. Today, the "impossible" is our daily reality: I can sit on the couch and watch TV with all three dogs in the same room, completely at peace. Hilton even followed up with multiple home visits afterward to fine-tune the transition and ensure we were supported. Hilton and Christine are some of the most amazing, selfless people we have ever met. They didn't just train our dogs; they invested in our family’s quality of life. The extra effort and genuine heart they put into their work is something you simply won’t find anywhere else.
