FirstBarkMy dog Sigmund started swimming at Hip Dog for rehab after he tore both CCLs. The staff are amazing and attentive to his needs every time. He looks forward to his swim day every week. The mobility in his knees and hips have improved so much. I highly recommend Hip Dog!

If you have been doing hydrotherapy with your own dog like at Rocky's retreat is the owner of the dog allowed in the water also here
Currently the owners of all HIP DOG’s canines can sit close to the edge of pool, not in pool, to observe and to encourage their pets to swim and play.

Does this facility offer the underwater treadmill treatment for dogs?
They don't. That would be really neat but they don't. There is a gradual ledge where your dog can walk into the water as well as a ledge about 4ft long on the other side. They would work with your dog in the water letting them kick naturally as well as helping with the occasional massage.

My pups LOVE Hip Dog!!! The girls go wild before we are in the parking lot. They can't get enough of the great play while swimming. My boy gets his exercise and strength training despite his crazy behavior. This is a great experience every week for all of them. Kristina,Tom and the crew are so kind and fun

About twice a year when visiting Central Florida I try never to miss a visit to Hip Dog Canine Hydrotherapy. They have a large expansive pool with a tent like enclosure that keeps the water cool. The pool is designed for canines, with an ergonomically designed ramp for the dogs to walk into water. The staff are beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Tom and Kristina started Hip Dog 21 rears ago, their dedication makes it is a real treat to watch all kinds of dogs swim, exercise, and rehabilitate from puppies to super seniors. Some have Hip Dysplasia , others have arthritis. Some owners told me their dogs swim for the exercise and to stay healthy physically and mentally. Another owner said his Dachshund swims every week to lose weight which helps with flexibility and range of motion. Each visit leaves me smiling as I enjoy watching lots of happy dogs, and their owners, and the professional staff that loves them.
Chloe has been coming to Hip Dog for about 2 1/2yrs. She absolutely loves it and is “ over the moon” with her weekly sessions. It helps keep her hips strong and flexible, helps her cardiovascular system and is overall the best exercise for a senior German Shepherd. The staff is super attentive, and very good with her, even though she is a “landshark”! 😂
My family and I bring our dog Nolan here who absolutely adores the pool! He has a slipped disc and we feared we wouldn’t be able to walk again. Kristina and Tom are amazing help and have gotten Nolan all back to normal! Such an amazing fun place!! Highly recommend
