Holistic K-9 Solutions

We have two St. Bernard sisters, Koko and Kona. I found siblings to be hard to train since they feed off each other and did not listen to me. When they were 7 months old, we hired a trainer. What a disaster he was!! As Koko and Kona got older, (now 1 year), AND larger, (140lbs each), they were uncontrollable; pulling me down, jumping on people, barking and biting. The fear of taking them for a walk was overwhelming. I needed help!! Marcus evaluated them and said he could have them trained in one week! Yeah! Right?! Needless to say, I was skeptical, but excited. So we opted for the accelerator class. Marcus and Tommy were amazing! They came each day ( for 7 days, 4hours/ day) ON TIME and had the puppies listening to commands the very first day!! Marcus and Tommy answered all my questions and did not leave until I was satisfied with Koko and Kona’s progress and until I was satisfied with my ability to handle them. Each day brought more promise and hope and more commands, 11 in all. By the 7th day, Koko and Kona WERE COMPLETELY TRAINED! WOW!! My grandkids are no longer afraid of them! I no longer avoid people and pets and can walk where and whenever I choose. I also get a lot of comments like, “ what well behaved dogs”. I now find, with each passing day, that Koko and Kona listen more and need to be corrected less and less. I am looking forward to enjoying my time with my dogs for many years to come. I am truly thankful to Marcus and Tommy for making my life enjoyable again.

I can’t say enough good things about Marcus and his approach to dog training! We did the 7-day accelerator program with our very sweet, but very dog reactive, dog. Marcus truly does train both sides of the leash in that he not only taught our dog various commands, but he also taught my husband, me, and our kids how to execute the commands properly and consistently. Among other things, we now know how to have our dog heel instead of dragging us around the neighborhood, and we know how to handle a reactive situation calmly and effectively. As if all that’s not enough, Marcus is friendly and fun to be around, as are his sweet dogs that work alongside him. I highly recommend Holistic K-9 Solutions!

If you want a well mannered dog, Marcus Van Gorden is the guy you need. He is talented, patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He recently worked with our new puppy and we are very pleased. Zues can sit, stay, come, place and break at just 8 was old!!!
