Holy City Canine

We paid $4,000 for our dog to stay in this training program for 40 days. When he came home, he had not made any training progress. More concerning, he returned with behavioral issues he did not have before, as well as physical wounds. The day before our dog was scheduled to go home, the trainer asked to keep him for an additional week and a half. We declined, as we were also told that work with our dog had only recently started shortly before pickup. We have written communication supporting that timeline. At that point (day 39), it was clear to us that our dog would not benefit from additional time in these two trainers care. Based on our experience, we did not receive the training services we paid for. My advice to anyone considering this program is to tour the property in person beforehand and ask how many dogs are in the their care at one time. Regretfully, I did not ask to see the property in advance, and had I seen it beforehand, I would not have left our dog there. I am sharing only our direct experience because I believe prospective clients should have access to clear, firsthand information when making decisions about their dog’s care.

I see my long review was taken down by the owner. I will keep posting and he can keep taking it down. I spent over 5k for training and my dog came back more aggressive. They never once came out to my property. I reached out MULTIPLE times about this. I am a VETERINARIAN. Love that he is taking down negative reviews. I’ll start posting texts between us. Where I started threatening to show up to his property when he didn’t respond to me for WEEKS. TAKE MY REVIEW DOWN AGAIN JONATHAN AND ILL TAKE YOU TO COURT. I don’t think having boarded veterinary behaviorists that analyzed him afterwards and the bites on his forelimbs (I have photo proof of) will look great.

I took my Black Lab to Jonathan at Holy City Canine and the transformation has been incredible. Within just a few weeks, Rocky went from dragging me down the street to walking calmly at my side. The trainer is patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and he actually teach you how to communicate with your dog, not just the dog itself. I finally feel like I have the tools to keep making progress. Best investment I’ve ever made in my pup—highly recommend them to anyone in Charleston!
