Home Dog Training of North Georgia has successfully trained over 6,000 wonderful dogs over the last 21 years. Our methods are simple to learn and easy to implement by our clients.
We never do anything that hurts, scares, or frightens the dogs. At our very first session, we teach you how your dog thinks, how he sees the world, how he learns, and how he communicates. Again, being dogs, this is a simple process that as humans, we often over complicate. With this knowledge, we empower you to let your dog know what you want in a way he naturally understands, respects, and obeys.

We are Certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluators and can train and test your dog for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Many dog owners acquire this certificate so their dog can provide solace, support, and comfort to hospital patients, seniors in rest homes, and children in schools.

Having your dog obey you is essential in having the proper relationship with your dog. Commands such as Come, Sit, Stay, Walk, etc. are not only essential in telling your dog what to do, they also affirm the respect and relationship both of you will share for a lifetime.

We offer group classes by special request. We employ the same behavioral training techniques in our group classes that we use on a daily basis in our in-home and board and train programs. Our group classes normally cover basic obedience, good behavior, and socialization.

About how much does the board and train cost? And for how long is it?
Hi Sam,
Thank you for contacting us. Our Board and Train program costs $125/day. We are different than many other Board and Train programs because we only accept one dog at a time. Your dog will live with us in our home, just like a member of the family. That is where we train your dog and teach him to behave and be obedient.
We have no "set length" to our program. We work on your “list of needs” until your dog has reached all your specific goals. We call you on a daily basis to provide you with an update regarding your dog’s progress. This determines when he is ready to come home. On average, most of the dogs we have in our Board and Train programs are ready to come home between five to ten days.

His approach is hands‑on, thoughtful, and incredibly effective. Its not magic and we are still working on some refinement, but at least we are now equipped on what to do!
After trying PetSmart and Petco classes, the difference was night and day—nothing compares to working with Bruce in our own home. The ongoing support and resources he (and Robin) provide make the experience even better. I will gladly recommend them to anyone looking for dedicated, in‑home training that actually works.

I would highly recommend Bruce & Robin to anyone looking for a dog trainer. With just one session Bruce gave us all the information and tools we needed to move forward in the right direction with our baby Jet. Couldn’t be happier with the results :)

I interviewed plenty of trainers and even had a couple come out to my house to say my puppy wasn’t ready to be trained because he’s too timid. I usually go with the high 20+ reviews when I’m looking for services but I saw Home Dog Training of North Georgia only had a few reviews but positive comments so I decided to give them a try. Robin was extremely patient and listened to all of my concerns. She gave me a lot of good information which made me decide to keep my rescue pit/terrier. My puppy got sick the day after I spoke to and decided to go with Robin and I called her to get her thoughts. Again, she answered every question and reassured me this is normal. I was impressed because even though our appointment isn’t until Saturday and I haven’t paid anything yet, she was willing to take the time to give me her expert advice and assure me it will be fine. I look forward to our training session on Saturday!!

These guys did a great job in training my dog. Daisy no longer pulls when I walk her, jumps on people, and actually listens to me. Being a big and very active German Shepherd, she used to scare my friends. Now everybody lover her.
