Honor K9 Dog Training

Working with Honor K9 to get our eight-year-old Husky, Zeke, trained has been one of the best decisions our family has made. Not only is Mark an incredible trainer, but he’s a genuinely great person with a huge heart for dogs. It comes as no surprise that he has so many five star reviews. Anyone who knows dogs knows that one, training a senior dog can be challenging and two, that huskies are typically very stubborn, but Mark has made training feel seamless and enjoyable. He is extremely well-versed in dog and owner behavior, and explains things in a way that helps you better understand how your actions drive your dog’s reactions. Before working with Mark, Zeke would pull on walks, refused to follow through with commands, and had severe separation anxiety. After a consistent training schedule with Mark, Zeke walks calmly and confidently by our side without pulling, obeys commands on the first try, and can be left alone without becoming reactive and destructive. One of the best outcomes of training with Mark has been that our bond with Zeke is the strongest it has ever been, which has only made our rapport with commands and follow-through even better. Mark has also gone above and beyond to help us get Zeke trained and ready for our upcoming international move which is not any easy feat. But if anyone can do it, it’s Mark. We are really going to miss our weekly sessions with him and are eternally grateful for everything we have learned during our time together. Thank you Mark!

Mark is a top notch trainer. I selected him because of his prior detection dog handling experience and I am so glad I did. I feel very lucky to have had his help with my dog, Skinny, who was recently adopted from Animal Friends. Skinny was very sensitive to corrections and Mark adapted his methods to Skinny and helped me really start him off right. He knows sit, walks on a leash perfectly, comes when called (almost perfectly 😊) and is learning to stay. We fully intend on using Mark's services again as Skinny becomes more and more comfortable with us. Training with Mark was the perfect way to start though. I can't recommend Mark enough.
