Our dogs reactive behavior had been increasing for the past few years due to moving and adding 2 little girls to our family. He would pull us around on a leash, react to every person or dog we saw or who walked by our house. He was difficult to control in these moments and these behaviors made it very difficult to take him anywhere or fully trust him. We’d even started using anxiety meds with almost no improvement. Fast forward to the end of our 2-week board & train…and wow!! Sometimes I still think Tyler swapped our dog with a look a like. He’s off anxiety meds, a dream to walk on a leash, easy to correct and so much calmer in our house. If you have toddlers, you know our house is not calm in general, to see our dog so confident and engaged with us is amazing!! Obviously, we needed training as owners. But now that Tyler has laid such a strong foundation and gotten us out of a very dark place we are so excited to work with our doggo and we look forward to using the tools Tyler gave us to help him develop further.

We cannot recommend Brenden with Honorable K9s enough for his incredible work with our two French Bulldogs, Charlie, 5, and Sophie, 2. Brenden came to our home for four one-hour lessons, and then he had them in his two-week boarded training program, and the results were nothing short of amazing. From our very first meeting, Brenden built an instant rapport with us. It was clear that he genuinely cared about our dogs and had a deep understanding of canine behavior. His confidence and knowledge immediately put us at ease, and we knew we could trust him to take great care of Charlie and Sophie and teach us so that things could improve for all of us. Before the training, our dogs were quite the handful – pulling on the leash, going after other dogs on walks, going crazy when they heard other dogs bark, barking and jumping excessively on anyone who came to our home, and having trouble following basic commands. Sophie also controlled all the dog toys in the house and would not share and would eat the other's food and push them out of the way. Brenden took them in with open arms and worked wonders. When he dropped them off, they were different dogs. We really did not think it would be possible. What truly sets Brenden and Honorable K9s apart is not just the training he provided to our dogs but the training he provided to us as well. We quickly realized that without us continuing the work at home, our dogs would easily revert back. Brenden provided thorough, hands-on guidance on maintaining and reinforcing the training at home. He took the time to ensure we understood the techniques and felt confident in applying them. He was very responsive to any questions, came out for a follow-up visit, and ensured we were still doing well. They also provide dog classes and meet-ups afterward to help you maintain the training. This level of care and dedication to both the dogs and their owners is exceptional. We can now walk our dogs without worrying, and they respond to our commands. The positive changes in their behavior have made our lives much easier and more enjoyable. Brenden really is the best, and we are thankful, appreciative, and beyond grateful for the transformation in Charlie and Sophie. We highly recommend Brenden and Honorable K9s to anyone looking for excellent dog training. It was the best money we ever spent.

Quite simply put, Tyler is amazing! His dedication to, respect for, and love of dogs is readily apparent. He has a true passion for the work he does and works to improve his skills via conferences, as well as interactions with other trainers. My husband and I recently adopted a puppy from a humane society. (We had previously owned a German Shepherd and a mixed breed Rhodesian Ridgeback and had had them in training for years.) We wanted to start off on the right foot with our new puppy, and we were looking for a trainer. “Word of mouth” can sometimes be the best referral, as it was with Tyler. We were having lunch on the patio of a restaurant in Hyde Park and were seated next to a couple whose dog was very well behaved (in a down stay for over an hour). We asked the couple if they had had a trainer, and the answer was an emphatic, “Yes,” followed by lots of accolades for Tyler. We have now worked with Tyler for a couple of months, training our seven-month-old puppy, and the results have been significant. Our puppy liked Tyler within the first minutes of interaction (always a good sign) and continues to enjoy his training sessions with Tyler. Tyler uses positive reinforcement when training, and our puppy has learned quickly. My husband and I have appreciated Tyler’s observations, insight, guidance, and knowledge. He is able to identify problems, large and small, and make appropriate recommendations, which result in behavioral changes. Helping each dog to achieve his or her potential is important to Tyler, and he willingly works overtime to achieve this goal. This is a reflection of Tyler’s commitment to his trainees. Tyler has an easy-going, unassuming manner, but always seems to be in control (another good sign). He trains a wide variety of dogs, from police force dogs to small breed dogs, and adapts readily to the needs of the individual dogs. Needless to say, we would highly recommend Tyler as a trainer, and I think our puppy would agree! We look forward to continuing our relationship with Tyler and Honorable K9.
