Honorable K9

Brenden and Tyler are top tier. I could not rave about them more. They actually listened to what I needed as a client. I have two pups and am very aware I was in over my head. Brenden always listened and the man has the patience of a saint. I knew that training my dogs was going to be more about teaching me as their owner. He never failed to explain or re explain something to me. He celebrated every win my Dory girl and I had outside of our time with him which drove a sense of motivation to improve my relationship with both my dogs. These two know what they are doing and I will forever be grateful for what Brenden taught my pups, but more importantly me. Getting your dog trained really can be the difference of life or death for your pet and I’m so glad I have the skills to keep me safe, but more importantly my fur babies. 10/10 would recommend Honorable K9 to anyone looking to have well behaved dogs and build a better relationship with their pets.

Tyler and his crew are absolutely amazing! We decided to go through with their board and train program, and it did wonders for our dog. We have a pitbull terrier mix named Dillon and he has been trained to do things we did not think he would do. He walks nicely on a leash, stays at the front door when it's opened until released, stays on his cot even if there is someone at the door, and much more. Tyler taught us how to continuely set Dillon up for success and we can't thank him enough! We highly recommend Honorable K9!

Our dog, Paisley was aggressive towards other dogs and became aggressive towards our toddler. After she came back from the board and train program, she’s a completely different girl! She is not aggressive at all to our other dog and now sleeps on a bed in our toddlers room with no issues. We couldn’t be more thankful for Tyler’s help with the incredible progress Paisley has made. Tyler is really great about communicating and making sure we feel comfortable with maintaining her progress. He has even helped with our other dog by giving us tips and tricks to help with issue an we’ve had at home with him. Tyler really changed our lives and our dogs lives in the best way! Working with Tyler has been amazing! Having our first GSD, I was both worried about my capabilities as well as the options for reputable trainers in the valley. He really taught me what I needed to do with her, he corrected me throughout the process, giving me tips and tricks, and the reasoning behind everything he does and teaches. He really focuses on positive reinforcement, and from what I have seen that is hard to find with trainers here in the area. He usually had boarding dogs or his dog Glitch with him so I asked all kinds of questions about his personal dogs, and his board to train, and the process and he was really thorough in answering all of my questions. If I did not work from home, I definitely would have gone with the board and train option. I am really thankful for what I learned and the confidence if gave both myself and my pup!

After a consult with Tyler regarding my mix breed with massive separation anxiety and an all around borderline fear and nervousness of other dogs and people, I opted to work with Honorable K9 for four private sessions with Brenden. I couldn't take her through a drive thru for a quick drink without her barking at the speaker or at the cashier at the window (even after they gave her a treat), it was hard to take her on walks as she would bark and lunge towards others no matter the space between us, and she would rip apart blankets, jackets, throw pillows, her beds, and even couch cushions when left at home while I was working for the day or even gone for twenty minutes. She had broken out of two different kinds of crates and would whine and bark for hours in them as it was. I was against crating her based on those experiences from when I adopted her at 13 weeks up to when she was 8 months and I had given up on crating. Brenden was extremely helpful in utilizing my key phrases I standardly used when working with her and helped me hone in on correct uses of such phrases and the right ways to get the corrections I was requesting of my dog. From our first session at my residence throughout the four week process, Tyler and Brenden were always willing to give any advice in between sessions and implement those things in the next time we’d meet. While Brenden had the knowledge I was against crating her as I didn’t think it would work out, he was determined to have me keep my sanity (and couch cushions). So much so that we used one of our sessions to work on crating her for a big part of the session and he ended up crawling into the crate himself (regardless of abdominal cramps and the uncomfortable position) and stayed in there until she finally wasn’t nervous and crawled in there with him. Honorable K9 is a huge advocate for dog safety and utilizes Ruffland Kennels for dog crating needs, which they recommended to me, and after our session I caved and purchased the kennel for my pup. She now walks in and out of her crate without nervousness towards it and while she may have some teeth marks in the crate I don’t foresee her being able to break out of it. At each session I was never made to feel incorrect or that I was idiotic. They purposefully set up each session to accommodate your dogs’ individual needs and your needs for your dog. The uncomfortable situations of walking near strangers and dogs we’ve never met was eased with Brenden’s knowledge of animal demeanor and willingness to step in between my pup and oncoming people or animals to avoid issues. It’s amazing what getting a nervous and unconfident dog to crawl up on top of a picnic table can do for their confidence level and overall demeanor after reaching the goal. Overall Honorable K9 was amazing to work with and I would gladly recommend them to anyone and everyone.
