Hope Retrievers

Kelli and Hope Retrievers are simply the best! My 7mo old Golden mut completed the beginner obedience training and after 6 weeks with Kelli, our pup is now a civilized (though still goofy and adorable) member of our family as opposed to a tornado of despair and destruction! Their facilities are well kept. She came home with an excellent foundation and it was so ingrained it easily transitioned to her being in the home! We are able to walk her off lead in our neighborhood. She can stay on her “place” for a million times longer than when she left (which was previously about 5 seconds). The word “no” actually carries meaning now and she is responsive to it with quick self correction. We aren’t from East Texas, but we heard about Kelli, saw how affordable and well established she was and made the 7 hour drive to drop off our pup and visit her a few times prior to picking up. Also, if your dog gets sick, Kelly has a fantastic and reputable veterinary that she is on a first name basis with which was very reassuring for these first time doggo owners.

We sent our 15 month old Goldador Remi to Kelli for obedience and gun dog training. We were unsure if Remi had the drive in her to be a gun/bird dog. After a month Kelli notified us that Remi just didn’t have the drive, but she wanted to keep her for a few weeks to work on her obedience. Her honesty made all the difference. We truly trust and believe in Kelli. So, we asked Kelli to help us find a gun dog and we have found one. When we picked up Remi all I could say is AMAZING! Remi is a completely different dog. She is now our loyal, very obedient family dog and we are so grateful! We are looking forward to working w/ Kelli in the future w/ our new dog. Kelli also took the time w/ my young daughter and showed her the different levels of gun dogs and my daughter is hooked. She adores Kelli and admires the work she does w/ the dogs.

We were a little behind the training schedule (for a dog's age) to have our lab pup trained and was afraid she had already developed some bad habits. Needless to say, I was very pleased when I went to pick up Sadie when training was completed. Her obedience is spot on and is very attentive to commands. Throughout her stay at Hope, Kelli would send progress messages, pics and videos, which says a lot about a trainer with a full kennel of dogs to be trained. I would not hesitate to refer Hope as a trainer for a potential client/pup.
