Kat is awesome. We have been taking classes with her since we first got our puppy and she's been a great help. He needed a lot of work and she was always there for extra encouragement and tips after classes, and I still message her from time to time when I need help with something or have questions and she always answers. She is fun, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, I'd recommend her to anyone!

Kat Klein is a skilled, experienced, and compassionate professional who is great with both dogs and people. She is helpful with all kinds of dogs, but especially wonderful with nervous, fearful, or reactive dogs. We adopted our dog Trevor when he was 6 months old, after 4 months of unknown life and 2 months in a crowded high-kill shelter. He was extremely anxious, easily startled, and pretty much afraid of everything, mostly preferring to find a corner to cower in. We have a house and family that we hoped could help this guy learn how to enjoy his life, and he calmed down a lot in the first month. But it quickly became apparent that our love and patience alone were not going to be enough to encourage Trevor into the world of happy dog life. We decided to get some help from a trainer, and luckily, we quickly found Kat. Our dog isn’t really suitable for classes, so we chose to have a few home visits (very reasonably priced). Kat totally started with where we and our dog were: what he needed the most, what we needed as his human friends, and what our top priorities were. Trevor was often very restless and wandering in the house, and we found it hard to get a leash on him to take him out. Kat made a whole lot of immediate, practical, and helpful suggestions about how to approach the dog, how to handle his leash, how best to reward and encourage him, and how to make him feel less freaked out and reactive. Kat also helped us introduce Trevor to other dogs (her own sweet companions), which helped us learn how he might react to other animals and to new experiences and stimuli. After just a few visits from Kat, our dog is much more comfortable in his home and is headed in a happy direction. The great thing about this trainer is that she not only looks out for the dog’s interests, but takes the time to get to know the dog’s people and to find out how best they can help their furry friends. She is patient, compassionate, and imaginative: if one thing doesn’t work, she’s always got another helpful suggestion. Her calm and patient demeanor really made a difference with our nervous dog. Kat Klein is a great all-round trainer who has made a huge difference to us and our newest famly member. If you’re looking for some help with your canine friend, she is definitely the person to call.
