Stealth K9 is incredible! If you're having some issues with your dog that you don't know how to handle, or if you simply don't understand how to train your own dog (many of us don't) then this is the place to go. I had my dog go through the board and train program for 2 weeks of obedience. Before he left, it was embarrassing to take him out in a public place where other dogs were present because he was so reactive towards other dogs, I just couldn't control him. He pulled on the leash, didn't want to listen around distractions and really needed to learn how to focus. When I picked him up, I didn't just get my goofy boy who's personality was the same as when I left him, but now he listened. He would heel on the leash, no pulling, and I could walk by another dog without him going crazy. He'd even listen to me when I told him no for chasing the squirrels in our neighborhood! I love the results and I love that they offer unlimited training sessions for the life of the dog afterward, because we still have some ways to go as a team. I especially love that my boy came back happy and goofy as ever, so I know that he had a good time and that this is a good team of trainers. Overall, if you're looking for a trainer in the Houston area, this is it! They are educated and know what they're talking about, I always got answers to any questions I had in a timely manner. This place is incredible and Mike is great guy and very professional! If you notice the negative reviews are fairly short with not much to say, I think some people also get too sensitive over some things within the dog training world. With proper education you see that things like a pop on the leash for not listening, or a pronged collar for training, are not dangerous and actually help the dog learn. They are simply tools to help dogs fit into our world, they are not humans and should be treated as what they are: a dog. Many people don't understand this and so I am assuming when they were educated during training, they got upset and decided to write a bad review. But keep in mind, Stealth K9 also works with and breeds dogs for protection and police work. I don't know about you, but I for one am positive that they wouldn't do terrible things to expensive work line dogs. I can assure that they treat dogs of all different breeds & sizes the same at Stealth K9 based on the work I saw them provide. All the dogs seemed quite content and happy as well, as a dog should.
