Hunter Canine

Hunter Canine changed our lives! Our dog Midnight was reactive to other dogs, and I could only take him out when no other dogs were around. Walking him was not fun, and I was constantly nervous about running into another dog. We were so nervous about putting Midnight in the 4 Week Off-Leash Training Retreat but it turned out to be the best thing we could have done for Midnight. We did the in-home option so that Midnight would go home with Violet every day, and she took him on various field trips and even up to Sedona for hiking. You can tell that she really cared for Midnight and took care of him as if he was one of her own dogs. After the retreat, I am now able to take Midnight on hikes and I no longer have to run away when I see another dog. While he is not perfect and still barks when he sees another dog, I know exactly what to do to stop the reactivity thanks to the follow-up lessons included in the training retreat. Violet answers my texts promptly whenever I have a question or need help. I can't even tell you how many different collars and leashes we went through trying to get Midnight to walk without pulling before Hunter Canine. Now Midnight heels and walks right next to me without pulling. He also is trained to walk off-leash, which makes hiking difficult trails a lot more fun! His recall has improved drastically too, and we no longer just get the stink eye when we call him to come inside from the backyard... he runs to get to us with just one command! We highly recommend Hunter Canine!

I brought my 8 month old Doberman to Hunter Canine for the 4 week in home retreat. Prior to my dog being there he was out of control with no manners whatsoever. Upon talking to Violet on the phone I was convinced this was the right place for him and she was the right person that Diesel needed. Words can’t describe how well Violet did with Diesel. He is completely transformed into a wonderful and pleasant dog to be around. I can’t say enough about what Violet did for Diesel. We will be forever grateful to her and Hunter Canine.

Enrolled our Golden Doodle in Hunter Canine’s 3 Week Boot Camp. Emily was his trainer. When we went for the two week follow-up we couldn’t believe the difference. What Emily and the others had accomplished was unbelievable! Returning the following week we were even more impressed. We are looking forward to additional training with our new family member! We’ve worked with Hunter Canine once before and we wouldn’t consider any other trainers. Highly recommended!

Abbey was our trainer for our Boxer puppy and 31/2 year old Frenchie. Our frenchie lost his frien last April we thought getting him a friend would be a good idea. Maybe was too soon who knows but he wasn’t crazy about the puppy. Abbey was awesome we took them to the Biltmore Fashion Mall we had so many compliments on our puppy people couldn’t believe a Boxer could be so calm and well behaved. Frenchie seems more tolerant of her and he walks so well no pulling or tugging. Our life is changed from stressful training to peaceful training. Seems easy peasy. Thanks Abbey for joining Huber Canine so that we could have you train our dogs.

Our boxer puppy and franch bulldog weren't getting along. It made life very stressful at our house. Now that tge Hunter Canine staff worked with them they are listening to us. There is peace at our house. Just two days after they came home, we took them to the Biltmore to walk the mall. Many people complimented our boxer puppy and our Frenchie because they were so well behaved. Special thanks to Abby for working with us one-on-one and answering all our questions.
