Our 2 year old pup went from being a home body that was a little unsure of everything to making friends in just a few short sessions. Every appt we have with James we make massive strides in the right direction. We were looking for a trainer to help train our 8 month old puppy before our baby arrives. James was so helpful. He did a great job laying a solid foundation for us to build off of. Teaching her behaviors rather than just commands. He was easy to communicate with and really worked with our hectic schedule. Personable, very no-nonsense, yet empathetic and non-judgmental. James offers recommendations that work with a balanced training style. While dog training is a completely unregulated market, James has titles, certifications, and lots experience to back up his business. In my case, having recently taken the leap to become a first time dog owner, the entire ordeal has been made more manageable and less overwhelming thanks to the assessments and guidance of Ilio Canine Care. Additionally, if you have a Greyhound, you know they're "not like other dogs". James owns one himself and really understands them (as I'm sure he understands about every other dog he meets). I can't recommend a trainer more highly.
