I chose Impact Canine Training because I wasn’t comfortable having someone else train Gus and not be a part of the process. With impact, Rick will work with the dog and give you the tools necessary to stay consistent and confident in your training. I am beyond thankful for Rick's investment in my relationship with Gus.

Truly could not recommend Rick enough for all of your dog training needs. My GSD puppy, Kaia, had a really bad experience with another local trainer that left her nearly on her deathbed. Both her & I were scared to trust another trainer after that but from the first conversation on with Rick - it was such a positive experience! Kaia absolutely loves going to see him and her behavior has made a full 180 after our time with him!

Rick was great with my chocolate lab, Goose. I've been afraid to take Goose out in public or walk him on a leash because he's reactive to other dogs. He comes across aggressive when he really just wants to play. Walking him on a leash was terrible. He would drag me down the sidewalk.
Rick came to our house for a few sessions to teach me how to be a better dog mom. Then we had some public ventures that went really well. Goose has a lot of anxiety in public or riding in cars but I have a better understanding of how to make that better for him now. Rick was very patient and very knowledgeable. So thankful I found him. Highly suggest.

How lucky are we to have found Rick?! We adopted a 3 yo Staffy mix with just a few rough edges. Rick is amazing - assessing her and developing a comprehensive training plan. The leash pulling stopped almost immediately and she’s well on her way to conquering her last few bad habits. She went from an 80% perfect dog to a 95% perfect dog - and we’ve learned how to work with her to reinforce her lessons. Rick’s lessons are fun for both dogs and their humans. We also learned a lot about doggie “body language”. We highly recommend Rick and have recommended him to several at the dog park who have asked about training.

I went to Impactful Training on a recommendation and I'm glad I did. Beans was (is) really shy and Rick was able to coax her out of her shell. It seems like he is reading her mind but he just has a deep understanding of dogs. He didn't just teach us the commands for Beans to sit, stay, walk etc but he taught the phycology behind the training to allow us to grow after we leave his classroom. I'm glad we went there and I'm pretty sure Beans is, too.
