In Home Dog Training

RD is such an incredible dog trainer. Her ability to come into our home environment and assess our dogs’ behaviors and give us advice/homework is something you don’t find often!! She uses current and up to date dog training practices and has such great insight to each dogs personalities and what she thinks will work best for them. We have a German shirt haired pointer and she gave us fantastic advice on how to tire her out physically and mentally to improve her behaviors! She is also very realistic with the mental effort and time it takes to train your dog and is very understanding that you’re not able to do training with your dog all the time. She has helped our 8 year old GSP become less reactive with our new 1.5 year old rescue GSP by giving us tips and educating us on why he’s being reactive in the first place. Considering she comes to your house, her prices are VERY affordable and her ultimate goal is for you to get to a point that you don’t need in home training anymore which I think says a lot about her character and integrity as a dog trainer/business owner! She also does pack walks where you and other clients of hers can get together to check in and get advice if needed. I would HIGHLY recommend RD to any and all dog owners! I’m so grateful for the knowledge she has given me because I know it will benefit me and all my future pups for years to come.

It can be difficult to find the right trainer. I had met with or worked with 3 other trainers before I started working with RD. I have two dogs and my youngest had developed food aggression/possessiveness towards my oldest. It made our home environment very stressful, where I was constantly monitoring them to prevent a fight from breaking out. It was right after a rather stressful incident that I reached out to RD because I was beyond my level of handling it. She responded so quickly and empathetically. On the first session we got right to work and I appreciated her coming in and after speaking with me laying out a game plan. I work best with clear direction and concise training. She gave me clear direction and a homework assignment, showing me exactly what I needed to do. I think it is important to be aware that any training, with any trainer the progress is only as good as the work you put in. We did the assignment every day for the 3 weeks RD asked us to during each meal (breakfast/dinner). She worked with my dog on her own as well once a week with the feeding around other dogs. The follow up session had my two dogs eating together with food scattered on the ground. It was amazing and I feel like a weight has been lifted with the stress now gone and a more harmonious household. RD is truly amazing!

I'm so glad we found RD! Our springer puppy has issues with reactivity and anxiety and after working on it with RD and having her do a week of board & train she's made so much progress. She is patient and knowledgeable and will make sure you understand how to handle your dog and continue with her methods to make sure everything sticks. My wife and I are SO happy with what she's done for us and our dog. Thanks RD!
