My experience with Britt was wonderful! I could write multiple pages about how talented, skilled, knowledgeable, and consistent she is in regard to dog training and teaching methods. She is extremely skilled at building motivation in dogs which allows her (and you) to teach them just about anything. On top of being skilled, I find Britt to be a kind, caring, dedicated, and trustworthy person. She has a calm presence and cares for dogs in such a beautiful way. She respects animals and pays attention to what they need to feel safe. It is easy to see that she loves her work and that it's more than a job for her. It's a way of life, and a commitment to giving dogs the best life possible with their humans. This is why I chose Britt to be my dog trainer. I found Britt in 2023 after getting recommendations from multiple people around Sparks, NV. I adopted a 5 month old pup, Utah, from the local shelter and planned to hire a trainer for weekly training sessions. About 2 months after adopting my pup, I injured my knee and found out that I needed surgery that would require me to be on crutches for at least 4 weeks. I reached out to Britt, explained my situation, and we made arrangements for a 4 week board & train during my upcoming surgery. During the board & train, Britt kept in communication with me and sent so many beautiful videos and photos of Utah and his progress. Over the 4 weeks, I could see that Utah was very happy, healthy, well cared for, and that he was learning so many new things. It felt so good to know that Utah was in such good hands. Upon Utah's return home, I found him to be calm, focused, motivated, and eager to please me. We instantly bonded and formed a relationship again. Utah was very skilled at obedience in high distraction settings including off leash recall, downstays, place, heel, and was highly motivated to work for me. I could see that he loved working, learning new things, and just being an overall good boy. He wanted to do everything well and looked to me for guidance. We are so much more connected and bonded from everything Britt taught us. Since the initial board & train, I have worked regularly with Utah to keep up his motivation and obedience. Britt offers free group classes and I try to attend when possible. I have also taken Utah to Britt for structured boarding the few times that I have needed to go out of town. It has been amazing to know that my boy is in such good hands if I need to go out of town. In addition to Utah, I also took my 16 pound mixed pup named Little Man. He was 6 years old when I took him to Britt for a board & train in 2024. He did so amazing! He became more motivated, happy, and eager to work on his obedience in high distraction settings. Thanks to Britt, I am able to walk both my dogs off leash in the outdoors every morning. They have earned this freedom and we enjoy these walks together so much! When we are out in public, I always get comments on how good my dogs are! Investing in dog training is one of the best decisions I have ever made! Thank you so much, Britt!
