In Relation With Dogs - Behavior and Training Solutions

Linda has been instrumental in educating and building on our relationship with our dog, Ted. We adopted a Belgian Malinois in October 2022. As our puppy got a big older, we started seeing issues that made day-to-day life frustrating for us and Ted. However, after our first meeting with Linda, she gave us just a few things to work on before the next lesson. Just these few things made life for all of us so much more enjoyable. Over the course of the last several lessons, we have seen vast improvement in Ted’s engagement — making learning fun for all. She has also made herself available when needed through text and email between appointments when we have questions. Plus, Ted LOVES when Linda comes over for a lesson. We added a new furry member of our family in July 2022. This dog was from a rescue facility and they rescued him from the local pound in Kansas. They believed he had been abused before. After a month to a month and a half, we reached out to Linda because Albie (our dog) was aggressive to strangers and we wanted to be able to learn how to help him not be so afraid and how to deal with him. He is very protective over us. She was at our home for 2 hours and talked the entire time except when she asked a few questions. We didn’t know anything at all about Albie’s past. She talked all about her knowledge and gave us all the supporting facts, etc. We understand why she did this but it was way too long and we started tuning out. It was hard to keep paying attention due to the length of meeting and it could have been shortened in half or more easily and we would have gotten the point and been just as educated. We get it, you are qualified. Also, it was extremely distressing because the ENTIRE time our dog was kenneled (at her request) in a separate room and he was barking and whining and upset. Our other dog was upset because Albie was in great distress. We finally insisted we bring him out in the living room but she said he had to stay in the kennel. By then he was so worked up he couldn’t calm down. She laid her eyes on him all of 5 minutes, had really no background info on him and said he pretty much had no hope! “Maybe” with extensive training but we would still never be able to trust him is what she said. Really???? Well, it’s been 7 months and he is thriving and loving and has accepted a handful of family members. After feeling devastated and at our lowest after her visit, I can say that Linda did NOT get it right at all. And we paid almost $200 for that!

We asked Linda to help us learn to train our new pit bull puppy. She was so helpful, not just with the mechanics of training but with the why behind each exercise and technique. Ruby was much calmer and in control. While we continue to work with Ruby every day, seeing a positive change in her behavior motivates us to keep at it. We also have Linda working with our perfect except for reacting to other dogs Shepherd. He is a good example of teaching an old dog new tricks. I highly recommend her!

Linda helped us conquer our dog’s separation anxiety. When we started working with Linda we couldn’t leave our dog home alone or she would hyperventilate with panic and drool everywhere. After several months of training and hard work, we can now safely and confidently leave our dog at home! Our dog stays calm and no longer cares when we walk out the door. The benefits of this training extend beyond our ability to leave the house. Our dog has learned to self soothe and is clearly less anxious in her day-to-day life than before this training. We couldn’t be happier with our dog’s progress and are so grateful to Linda for giving us our freedom back and helping our dog live a better quality of life!
