Inclined Canine Academy

When I first took my 3 year old Portuguese Water Dog Mack to Inclined Canine Academy, I was in despair. My dog Mack was so reactive and in fact was aggressive towards all other dogs and towards all humans. It really affected my life and isolated me as I could not bring him to public places. I would only walk him at night when there were no people around and if we did encounter people or dogs we would find a way to move in the opposite direction. I read online reviews of Inclined Canine Academy and felt hopeful. Even upon our first conversation for the free phone consultation, I felt immediately at ease and I was impressed with Keith’s vast knowledge about canine behavior. I came out to his training facility in San Jose. Our session was one hour long. Oh my goodness. Boy did my life change dramatically in that one hour! No exaggeration! Keith and his lovely wife put Mack and I through some exercises and even lent us their own dogs to ease Mack’s aggression and reactivity. I learned how to truly handle my dog for the first time. The tips he gave were lifechanging and I gained a world of knowledge in one powerful hour. Now, I was the master and not the other way round! We had a follow-up training session at a public shopping center to reinforce the training. During this second session, I sat with Mack at a coffee shop! He just sat down obediently. Now, Mack rides on airplanes, goes to restaurants, goes on hiking trails, makes dog friends. I’ve enjoyed making fellow dog owner friends as well! I’m not exaggerating when I say that Inclined Canine Academy changed my life for the better and I highly recommend him because he is a wonderful resource and the best dog trainer I have met by far! 5 out of 5 stars for sure!!! I had a great experience training with Keith for my two reactive dogs! My bigger dog who is a Covid puppy (aka under socialized) recently became reactive due to a dog attack which left him to be fearful and reactive when we would go on walks. I’ve been searching everywhere for someone to help us with this issue because it had gotten to the point where I was afraid to bring my dog outside. Keith is super friendly and very informative when we had our one on one sessions. After one session I was able to walk my dog on a heel! And he was less scared to be around others. It was great and I do plan to board and train my dog later this year with Keith. My other dog is a very stubborn French bull dog who does not like to listen to commands and is a bit reactive. After one session, I’ve seen a big improvement in her and I can confidently have her around other dogs without her barking and lunging at others. I would recommend to anyone who is having similar issues!
