Indian River Dog Training Club

I signed up for beginner dog obedience classes. The teacher definitely favors certain dogs (the ones that are much further ahead with training and frankly I'm not sure what they are doing in the beginner class anyway. Maybe they are intentionally there to make the trainer look good?). As for the rest of us, she routinely singles out the dogs/owners that she feels are not doing well with training. I do not appreciate being singled out in a group training setting...it's not motivating for me or my dog. I have a full time marketing job and am practicing training with my dog daily, with the exception of the week I was out of town on business and my dog was boarded. That's life! I am doing my best with my dog and she has come a long way with her training. It's too bad Barbara expects owners to be at the same level of training as she is with her own dogs. I think she is not very self aware that dog training is her full time job, not mine or others in the class. The class content was good, but listening to Barbara yelling during each class and singling owners/dogs out is not for me. We won't be going back or recommending this place.
