We just finished our puppy training program with Cheryl for our 4-month old border collie puppy. I am blown away by how confident and well-behaved our Ivy is at her age. I remember for one of her first sessions, I dropped Ivy off not knowing how to walk on a leash at all. When Cheryl returned her to us that afternoon, Ivy confidently walked up to the door on the leash! I was blown away. Potty training? This girl has basically been fully potty trained since around 3-months old. Crate training? She loves it and sleeps well in there, even up to 8 hours overnight! She picked up basic obedience commands like come, sit, lay down, and even some recall in just a few weeks. Cheryl played a huge part in the amazing behavior our puppy displays. I truly believe we would not have reached these milestones, especially not this early in her little life, without Cheryl’s expertise and guidance. In addition to the training Cheryl completed with Ivy in her own home, she also provided us guidance on ways to continue her training with us at our home. She also asked us specifics we wanted to work on like fear/reactiveness to loud noises and herding behaviors (which is to be expected with a border collie). She has always been available via text or phone call to chat with us, gain feedback, and answer any questions. It helps that Ivy absolutely LOVED going to see Cheryl and her family on “school” days! We are truly grateful to Cheryl for her expertise and help with our Ivy, and are looking forward to continuing to leverage that knowledge in future trainings and classes!

We just finished our 6 week course with Cheryl and it was wonderful! I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed working with Cheryl and our little dog Molly just loves her! Molly is already 2 years old so I was a little afraid I had waited too long. Cheryl was able to teach Molly lots of new things to help her be the best dog she can be! Abby our now six-month-old Portuguese Water Dog has benefited amazingly from the sessions with Cheryl and her team. We just can’t say enough about how impressed and pleased we’ve been. Cheryl’s knowledge and skill as well as her love of dogs are all so obvious. When we bring Abby and open the car door, she immediately jumps out and runs enthusiastically to the front door waiting to be welcomed in. Cheryl has also spent several sessions with Abby and us in our home to help individualize the training to our own environment. I don’t want to fail to comment as well about the education we’ve received, how Cheryl has taught us, one on one, techniques to use in successfully continuing Abby’s training and responding to any behavioral issues. My wife and I enthusiastically recommend Indian Trail Dog Training. I should add that we’ve also been very happy with the grooming service as well.
