Clearly you decided to write this review after I didn't not agree to make an exception to my refund policy (that you agreed to and your husband quoted to me on the phone) to suit your needs. I stand by my decision as changing training approaches midway does not indicate my methods don't work but you found a quick fix "alternative method" In all of my marketing it is clear that I don't use any force or punishment in my training. Please see the copied and pasted correspondence below which clearly shows that I did respond to your request for resolution and it was denied, not ignored. At the time of your Email you had already consulted another trainer who supposedly told you my methods were not accurate, so why in your email did you tell me "While you're clearly good at what you do..." If you had doubts after the first session you should have canceled at that time and I would have only charged a consultation fee. Positive reinforcement training takes patience and time. Also, what your husband told me on the phone differs significantly from what your email indicated. As he said what I taught you to do worked and since he decided to teach the puppy commands himself, I was no longer needed. Then asked if would I consider a refund. Anyone wanting a screen shot of the email please message me directly Hi Cheryl, Sorry about the short notice cancellation today, Jimmy had planned on calling you early this morning but got caught up on a job You're right we were certainly at a crisis point with Teeny's behavior. After our session last week, we continued with your methods later that day and Teeny was not very responsive, we felt very frustrated. We reached out to friends with a boxer who had utilized advice from a local shelter when they were at a similar crisis point with their puppy last year. We've been working with teeny all week/weekend with the new methods they advised us and we have seen a huge improvement in Teeny's behavior, as a family we've never been happier with him and so much tension has been alleviated for us all. With that in mind and all the information we were able to garner from our conversations with them, we didn't feel it a productive route for any of our time to continue our sessions together. While you're clearly very good at what you do, we have found quick and vast improvements with alternative methods and we feel like this different style is a much better fit for us; after all a successful turn around in behavior is really all we're prudently striving for here. We would not want to take up anyore of your time that could be spent with other clients amongst your busy schedule and therefore chose to cancel all future appointments. Today's session is fairly so a write off as it was so short notice, but I do feel we could come to a mutual understanding on a partial refund for the remaining 3 sessions We look forward to hearing from you. Your husband stated on the phone that your dogs behavior is much better now, that you are using my techniques and they are working. But, he wants to go a different route because you are teaching Teeny basic commands on your own. Prior to your second session you stated that you were planning to re home Teeny if we couldn’t get him to stop biting your ankles and children’s feet etc. So that is what we focused our training on at session #2 last week. Unfortunately, I cannot address behaviors like his and simultaneously teach basic commands. I guess Im confused as to why you would want a refund if my training is working. I suspect there is more to this. Unfortunately, per my cancelation policy that you signed and the situation outlined as it was explained to me. Im not seeing grounds for getting a refund. Good luck with Teeny he is a good puppy and quick learner. Cheryl
