Indy K-9

We had a great experience with Indy K-9! Jon exceeded my expectations with his open communication during the initial consultation and throughout the training period. He does such a great job keeping owners educated and at ease. We rescued our dog and sent him for the 4 week training after only having him for about a month and a half. That felt really hard as I didn’t want him to feel abandoned. When we picked him up, he was like a new dog - calmer and a better listener. I’m really looking forward to implementing the training we received at our thorough pick up (2 hour education & training). Kelcy was so great with answering our questions and making sure we felt confident. Would highly recommend Indy K-9 to all dog owners!!

If it were possible for a person to be magic, it’s Jon! Our dog has gone from reacting to anything walking past to heeling at my side and walking calmly. A complete 180 degrees! Jon was communicative, responsive, and understanding while he worked with Archer. And the transition training was thorough and relaxed. We look forward to our future interactions with Jon and his team and recommend him highly!

We did a four-week board and train for our rescue German Shepherd (Sherman) primarily for his leash reactivity on walks and basic obedience before we welcomed our first baby in the house. From the very beginning, communication with Jon was outstanding. Our initial call, we addressed our concerns and Jon was attentive and always honest about expectations and his program. We felt very assured moving forward from the beginning. He has trained 18 shepherds himself and currently owns two, so we felt it was a perfect fit. We received weekly updates with notes about Sherman's training progress along with photos, videos, and phone calls from Jon providing more in depth details. When we picked up Sherman and did our debrief session, we saw remarkable improvements right away. At home, walking Sherman has felt more manageable and his attention to commands has been almost perfect in and around the house. During the first week back at home, I had some troubles walking Sherman pass a few dogs, so Jon and Kelcy came over the next day to do a follow-up session in my neighborhood which was extremely helpful. The communication and dedication to each dog even after the program has ended is amazing. Jon's knowledge for dogs and GSDs specifically has been tremendously helpful. We are so happy with the results and would recommend Indy k9 to anyone interested in training their dog!
