Innovative K9 Academy

I had the best experience sending my sweet girl Winnie to Innovative K9 Academy. Dropping her off, I knew she'd be in good hands, though I couldn't help feeling a little nervous about sending her away. That nervousness didn't last long. Once I started receiving videos of her training sessions, I could see exactly how she was doing and how well her trainer, Jake, was treating her. Watching her progress so quickly gave me real peace of mind during a time when I was down and out and unable to care for her myself. I originally signed her up for the 18-day course, and she thrived. I received videos and photos almost daily, along with explanations of what they were working on, so I'd be ready to keep up her training once she came home. When I ended up needing her to board a bit longer after the course ended, the team kept providing maintenance training and kept me updated the whole time. Winnie is SO smart but has a LOT of energy, and I used to struggle to get her to listen in situations where she was heavily distracted. Now she's still the same fun and spirited girl, but I have real confidence that she'll listen and stay safe no matter where we are. I was especially worried she'd slide back into old habits once she came home, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Her leash manners mattered most to me, since I was coming out of surgery and relearning to walk myself. That fact that she came home reliable on and off leash is a huge testament to the whole team, especially Jake. I've had very little issues with pulling since she's been back, and I feel safe and confident walking her—and she seems just as confident. I can't recommend Innovative K9 Academy enough. They're truly the best!!

We have a 7 month Blue Heeler named Whiskey. He was extremely reactive to any distractions around our house, and was occasionally aggressively protective of food when our two youngest children were around. I found Innovative K9 through a simple google search and after a phone call with David it was readily apparent that his services are the real deal. We decided on the 18-day stay and train. Receiving videos on Whiskey’s updates during his stay and watching his progression was super cool and exciting for our family. We showed up to the transition appointment with Jake and it was like getting a new dog. Whiskey’s training is incredible and as much as he needed training so did we! We have been keeping up with everything Jake taught us and have been getting endless complements from friends that have also witnessed the transformation. Can’t recommend this enough!
