Instinct Canine Holistic Behavioral Training

We started working with Ben around a month ago, and there is a notable difference in our dog, Scotty, who struggled with being reactive towards other dogs, anxiety, and general household behaviors like jumping on guests and barking at dogs and people who are outside. Ben equipped us with the skills to feel like we are in total control of our dog even in stressful situations. Through the use of the e collar paired with positive reinforcement, we feel confident taking him on walks where there’s other dogs around and even walking him off leash. Ben also taught us key words to use in the house and outside. “Yes” has been great to refocus Scotty and have his attention on us. He also taught us “place” in the house which is especially great for when guests come over. We don’t allow him to leave his “place” until he’s calm and cool, which has helped tremendously with him jumping on guests. Another positive of Ben’s program is he picks Scotty up everyday for training and then drops him off at the end of the day. This helps a lot when you’re a one car household! Lastly, Scotty truly loves Ben and is genuinely excited when he sees him and goes to training. He sends pictures and videos throughout sessions which we love. We truly appreciate everything Ben has done for our dog and for everything he has taught us. We will continue to work with him to ensure Scotty remains his best self!

I can’t express my gratitude enough to Ben and his team at Instinct Canine. As a dog owner, I now feel informed and empowered to mitigate my dogs behaviors. My dog Marco had come a very long way with his fear aggression and anxiety. With Ben’s holistic approach, I’ve seen my dogs confidence improve especially when meeting new people, and socializing with other dogs. Ben is such a wonderful dog trainer, we highly recommend him to anyone looking! My one year old dog, Josie, has puppy energy, can struggle with confidence, be easily distracted, and pulled a lot when walking. Even within one week of training with Ben, we saw major positive changes in Josie's behaviors. When Josie is too excited or rambunctious (especially when we have guests), we can now put her in "place" to calm down, and she stays there with no problem. Ben has also helped her gain so much confidence around other dogs and people. Walking Josie has also become so much easier! She no longer pulls as much and doesn't jump at every distraction (leaf or stick). We cannot thank Ben enough for all the support he has given us as well. Each week, he makes sure we understand what Josie has learned and does training sessions with us. After 3 weeks of training with Ben, we couldn't be happier with the progress we've made with Josie and can't wait to keep the training going!
