We had the pleasure of working with Meg as our dog trainer, and we couldn't be happier with the results! From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful and patient, taking the time to understand both our dog’s personality and our family's needs. I have nothing but effusive positive things to say about working with our behavior consultant, Meg Byrne! She helped us better understand our new doggy addition so we could let her be her best self. My partner and I were sleep deprived, desperate, and at our wit's end due to our pup's behavior issues that cropped up since adopting her. Even in just our initial consultation, Meg educated us so much and basically, after hearing everything about our little girl, let us know that we had to do the exact OPPOSITE of what the internet/old-school knowledge was suggesting we do. Essentially, we would have been banging our heads against the wall until the end of time and doing a great disservice to ourselves & more importantly, to our little girl. Now that we know how to set her up for success, she has done a total 180, and our lives are exponentially better. Meg is so knowledgable, attentive, comprehensive -- we're just so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience, not to mention actual behavioral success. Communication with the main #/email has been dicey, but once we got in contact with Meg, everything was great. Highly trust & recommend her.

We are so grateful for Meg and Instinct ❤️! We are first time dog owners who got a puppy with unexpected genetic behavioral issues. Meg has known our puppy Gobi since we brought him home and we would be so lost without her! She picked up on his subtle anxiety early enough that we were able to intervene and set him up for success as he gets into his teenage years. She notices such subtle things in both our boy and other dogs and has taught us so much about dog behavior. We came to Instinct in despair when our recently adopted rescue, Reggie, began to show signs of reactivity and resource guarding. What a good decision that was! Meg Byrne, an expert in dog behavior and body language, explained to us what was going on and gave us tips for management and training. She came to our home and worked with us (and Reggie!) in our environment and provided pragmatic step-by-step guidance. She was also incredibly responsive during an emergency situation.
