FirstBarkOur dog has separation anxiety and whines/cries when we are not around. Instinct couldnāt handle it, called an emergency contact and sent our dog home with the emergency contact. Really unacceptable for a dog boarding facility. Will never go here again.

It has been a joy working with Kaysha from Instinct over the past several months. She was timely, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient with both the two and four legged members of our family. Kaysha taught us strategies to better navigate our community with a reactive dog as well as sharing ideas that helped us limit the rehearsal of unwanted behaviors at home (eg barking at the door, charging guests, nipping at our other dog). She also knew a lot about border collies like ours and assisted us in finding ways to channel our dogās smarts & athletic ability into fun activities that kept her mind and body busy in a relatively small space. We are super grateful for all we have learned from Kaysha and would 100% recommend her to others!

I have been nothing but impressed with the team of leaders and trainers at Instinct Portland. At each session, they've shared their wealth of knowledge and skill with integrity. Most recently, we've worked with trainer Taylor Snead to build greater handling skills and trust with our two-year-old shepherd mix, Ember. Taylor was able to identify subtleties in my interactions with Ember that have greatly improved our relationship and my ability to notice and respond to Ember's big emotions. While I feel more confident and prepared to work with Ember in challenging situations, the biggest win has been recognizing how much more playful and at ease we've become in our everyday interactions. Taylor's compassion and astute observation skills have been instrumental in that transformation. Thank you so much!
