Intentional Canine

Michelle is an excellent trainer and educator. Her lessons are fun, easy to follow and very informative. My dog and I have really learned a lot from her. This is my first nosework dog, so we are still learning some of the basics. Michelle is very patient and willing to talk us through any questions or issues we may have. She has been especially helpful with teaching me to read my dogs cues. I can feel the improvement in the connection to my dog. I highly recommend Michelle as a trainer, and I will definitely continue to attend her classes.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Michelle Lehr through both the Fit Dog workshop and the Nosework workshop, and I truly can’t recommend her enough. I’ve taken each of my dogs through her workshops, and every experience has been incredibly positive. My Border Collie, who participated in the Fit Dog workshop, struggles with some over-arousal and reactivity, and Michelle was fantastic in helping us work within those challenges. She offered thoughtful modifications and guidance that allowed my dog to stay successful while still building strength, body awareness, and confidence in a way that felt manageable and positive. In the Fit Dog workshop overall, she made exercises approachable and adaptable while still being effective. In the Nosework workshop, her ability to break down concepts and support both the dog’s independence and the handler’s understanding really stood out. She creates a learning environment that is encouraging, low-pressure, and incredibly rewarding for both ends of the leash. What I appreciate most is how attentive and knowledgeable she is—she takes the time to give thoughtful feedback and genuinely cares about each team’s progress. If you’re considering any workshop or classes with Michelle, I highly recommend it—you and your dog will get so much out of it!
