We provide trusted quality care for our clients animals wether they are hiking, boarding in our home or taking a private lesson. With over 10 years experience in animal care, canine training and management, your dog is in the best hands and loved as one of our own wether its their first day or their 100th.
At Into the Woods, I am dedicated to enriching the lives of you AND your dog. Whether it’s a single 1:1 session or your dog hikes with me 5 days a week, I strive to ensure you both leave more confident, fulfilled and feeling like a member of a pack, not just another leash on the wall.

BoardingProgram details
We provide safe, reliable dog boarding with daily exercise, playtime, and loving care. Climate-controlled spaces, clean facilities, and 24/7 supervision ensure your dog feels right at home while you're away.
DaycareProgram details
Each week will have a focus “skill” for the dogs to work on such as practicing thresholds, loose leash walking, reducing jumping, sit/down stays etc. and they will have report cards sent home via pet pocketbook at the end of each week.Training Lesson based on ‘skill of the week’ .

Our hikes are designed with your dog's state of mind… in mind. We focus on obedience, trail manners and biological fulfillment through games and encouraging cooperation. Hikes are currently offered Monday- Friday Packs are kept small and dogs are paired based on energy level and play style.

This service is perfect if your dog is not a fan of other dogs, if you want a reliably well behaved dog on leash or if your dog needs a bit more work on specific behaviors before being able to join the hikes. Your dog will come home with a tired mind and ready for a nap.

Our 2-year-old standard poodle started working with Alicia when he was 6 months old. From obedience work, to socialization, to e-collar training for off-leash hikes, she has helped him grow into a balanced, confident dog who adapts quickly to many situations. I've also learned so much about my working breed dog, what makes him fulfilled. He loves his hikes with Alicia and Sarah!
I tell everyone we know on the S. Shore that when they get a new dog, they have to talk to Alicia!

We are so grateful to have found Alicia and Into the Woods Canine. She is patient, kind and capable and has a seemingly bottomless well of energy to give the dogs she trains and cares for. She helped us train for our cavalier and he regularly heads out on trail walks with a pack of pals. So much better than daycare! We tried a couple of daycare options and although it was more affordable, Auggie didn’t receive the care and attention he gets when he’s with Alicia and Sarah. Ultimately we decided the added cost was worth it. Auggie loves being in the woods and his time with Alica and Sarah is so much more enriching than the chaos of daycare. Additionally, the fact that they pick up and drop off Auggie is very convenient for us. As someone who never has extra time in the morning, this is very helpful!
We also board Auggie with Alicia when we go away, it's so nice having the peace of mind knowing he's being so well cared for while we’re gone.

Alicia has helped train my doodle for over a year. She has walked him and hiked with him. She is reliable and competent and trustworthy. I feel that my dog is safe with her. It would be fair to say that Alicia has trained both my dog and me! I highly recommend her.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality dog training that goes beyond a one size fits all approach and truly works with each dog as an individual and as part of the group. Alicia is communicative, honest & punctual. My dog is by all accounts a LOT of dog and he has made tremendous strides with her.
