Wow, where do I start? In 2024 I started my journey of looking for a mold dog and decided on Matt with his extensive knowledge of dogs as well as his integrity. It took Matt a few months to find the perfect dog for me as I requested a hypoallergenic dog, but damn if it wasn’t worth the wait. He picked my dog, Molly, based on her drive, desire to please, and ability to ride in the car (bc that’s a must in this industry). Molly excelled in scent detection right away. I fully believe that when a dog is picked based on their personality it makes all the difference in the world. When we met, we instantly clicked and I felt like Molly was made for me. Training with Matt was super easy for me bc I too am driven to be a good handler. Being a dog handler isn’t for the faint of heart and should be very well thought out before doing so bc it is a very very exhausting having a high energy, high drive dog if you aren’t training with them daily after leaving Matt’s facility. Matt trained the dog to do what it needs to do, but it is on the handler to continue that education at home and really get the dog used to being on the job. Molly and I are almost a year into our business and this has taken off way beyond my wildest dreams. I started a mold detection business because I wanted to help other people who were getting gaslit like I was from other Mold Inspectors and doctors after my child almost died from mold toxicity. Now Because of Molly and her extremely good nose, as well as her training and our dedication to not have false alerts, we are making waves in Oklahoma by finding what others cannot. This Is a calling for me to use our horrible experience with mold to help others so that they can start to heal, and Matt is a huge part of that ministry that I have formed. We have had a fantastic experience working with Matt and Ironheart. We ordered a mold detection dog, and Matt was able to source and train him. I drove from SC to Kansas to pick him up, and it was worth every mile. Scout is amazing, and his detection is spot on. We train with LE K9 handlers regularly, and they’re all impressed with Scout’s nose and accuracy. Matt has always been available for questions and help. His finished product on a dog is excellent. We will be ordering another mold dog from him soon.
