Island Dog Obedience

A more than wonderful experience for my five-year-old labradoodle, who learned in a structured, mentally stimulating, environmentally diverse, fun way to behave better and consistently so. Riley and Kristi were excellent, no, superior even, trainers who clearly love and understand dogs and yet have their respect and attention, making it easier to learn. I think my girl was happy and loved her time with Riley, whose daily updates and videos of their training were informative and entertaining. I smiled the whole time watching the videos, enjoying seeing my girl learn so aptly under his tutelage. I recommend Island Dog Obedience without reservation.

Island Dog Obedience is a great professional place for training. Our trainer Ryan was so patient and loving with our Mele. From the moment we first met Ryan we were very comfortable with his approach towards teaching Mele. Mele quickly bonded with Ryan. Ryan kept us updated daily with pictures and videos during her training. Mele has been home now for over a week and she just needs slight reminders but overall is so much more obedient and more than what we had expected from sending her to Obedience training. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. My husband and I made the decision to invest in our new puppy, Sophie. She is a 4 month old Bernedoodle who just completed the board and train program at IDO. Maria and Emily helped set a strong foundation for our girl when it comes to manners, socialization, leash-free training, and overall obedience. I gave them a wishlist and they hit every point and MORE. Not only was this program good for our puppy, but it gave ME a better peace-of-mind and truly helped with that overwhelming feeling you can have when having a new puppy. I got video/photo updates on Sophie every day and I could tell she was learning so much and she was LOVING her time with her trainers. They loved on her and treated her like she was theirs and that meant the absolute world to me. No amount of thank you’s could ever be enough! 10/10 recommend - for your pup, your family, and yourself!

We are so happy with our experience with Island Dog Obedience and our trainer Raya! We sent our 6-month old puppy Louie for the two week board and train program and he has come back an entirely new pup! Almost all concerns that we had were addressed and we seen a vast difference in him so far. We got daily photo and video updates on the things that were worked on and were completely impressed every day. Raya took the time to explain things very well and show me exactly what they’ve worked on at his graduation. She continues to follow up and provide great feedback for any questions we have. We are so happy with Island Dog Obediance! Ryan at Island Dog Obediance made my 6 month old goldendoodle into a new little pup that is now well behaved. It’s amazing the difference the board and training has helped our dog. I wish we brought him sooner. We are first time dog owners and our puppy jumped on our kids and people, biting, counter surfing, leash pulling, barking, and all the things puppies do. Before Island Dog Obedience we had an incident where our 35 lb puppy jumped on my 9 year daughter and bit her eyelid out of excitement. I felt very frustrated. After board and training, we have a new well behaved dog. Of course after training it’s important to continue the training and that’s what we are doing at home. Ryan has continued to help if we have random questions. We are very happy and had a great experience with Island Dog Obedience. Also look forward to board our dog with them when we have any trips.
