Island Dog Obedience

Our dog, Haku (1.5 y.o. German Shepherd), is mostly good. Mostly. The areas that she needed most help with were jumping on people (out of excitement) and barking at other dogs on our walks. Our trainer, Kristi, was amazing in helping us learn how to harness those behaviors in the couple of training sessions we had with her. Her excitement for Haku's milestones was contagious, and it's clear that she loves what she does and is good at it. So thankful that we came across Island Dog Obedience- definitely would recommend!

I am so happy I found island dog obedience. My 7 month old pup was not listening to me and I felt helpless. In a matter of 2 weeks they were able to correct a lot of the behaviors I was hoping to address. I am still amazed at his new leash skills and his ability to remain more calm in public settings. This has strengthened my relationship with my dog because now walks are more enjoyable for both of us, and he can go more places with me. I was worried that he would come back and not be as sweet, and loving, but he is the same sweet loving boy, just way more well behaved and responsive to my commands. I highly recommend Maria and her team!

We are so grateful to Chantelle and Maria! Kai was very insecure when he met them and was so skittish that it was hard to keep his focus for commands. We found Island Dog Obedience and did the 2 week board and train program. We received daily updates with videos and photos. He was obviously improving and it always looked like he was having a great time! They spent an afternoon with us afterwards to make sure we were familiar with the commands and confident to take over. Kai tested us for the first few days but the training collar helped. We continued to work with him after the program and we’ve seen him grow in his confidence so much. He’s so well behaved in public spaces and we feel comfortable taking him to beaches and on hikes. We’re so grateful for the work they put in and how much they helped his anxiety ❤️

Thank you @islanddogobedience for loving and training our baby boy Blue! We are so happy to have had him complete your board and train program while we traveled. Maria you are amazing. Blue learned so much in your care, while also adoring you and your family. Blue & I both love the ocean and to hike, and now he can be leash free in many environments. He has recall, and is trained on command. You also helped us assess his behavior around dogs, kids, and adults. He did amazing of course. We are so happy to have participated in this program, and to be part of the island dog obedience family. 🥰🙏
