I took my very anxious, 3 yo poodle mix rescue dog to Katrina at It Is Pawzable Dog Training and am so happy I did! Katrina listened to my dog’s issues, without judgement, and came to my home for a private session. She was patient with my dog’s issues, Chuey, and we were able to work on his behavioral issues, mainly growling and barking at strangers. I’ve continued to take him to her Structured Play Group where he can socialize with other dogs and humans in a safe environment. We’ve now gotten to a point where my dog can attend regular doggy daycare! There are also other obedience training classes that we’ll be joining, as well as her pack walks in nearby parks. I highly recommend It Is Pawzable Dog Training and Katrina!!

Katrina is an incredible dog trainer and I can't recommend her enough! My Mini Goldendoodle, Poppy, was a rescue and needed some obedience training as well as gaining confidence due to where she came from. In a very short period of time, Poppy started making tremendous strides with commands and confidence which was so wonderful to see. Katrina played an integral role in Poppy's development and I couldn't be more grateful. To anyone reading this looking for dog training, you won't regret going to It Is Pawzable with Katrina.

We have three dogs, the oldest is 12, the middle is 10 and Bonnie the youngest is 2. We came to It is Pawzable after Bonnie got into a fight with our middle dog over a new toy. Bonnie was very shy outside of the house and extremely territorial in our home and yard. We couldn’t have friends over and it was very stressful when family would visit, so we just stopped having people over all together. About a year ago, we started training at home with Katrina then transitioned to group classes. At first it felt like Bonnie just was the way she was and wouldn’t be able to change, but with patience and consistency we’ve come a long way! Just a year later, we are able to take Bonnie camping with family, we can have friends over for movie nights, we even hosted 2 large family get togethers without incident!! Our older dogs even learned a few new tricks along the way :-) We have learned how to instruct people when entering our house so that the dogs can get comfortable with them as well as how to handle the dogs so that they can calm down quickly after people arrive. And Bonnie has become more confident in public as well. I’m so thankful we found It Is Pawzable, we will take every dog there in the future so we can start them off with a strong foundation. It may sound corny, but we learned how to help Bonnie be the dog she wants to be and continue to train her to be the dog we want to have around us.

We are so grateful for Katrina and her incredible dog training skills! She is calm, patient, and truly understands how to work with both dogs and their humans. When we started working with her, our dog Birdie was anxious, constantly pulling on the leash, barking, and unable to settle down in public settings. Thanks to Katrina’s guidance and the tools she’s taught us, Birdie’s behavior has improved dramatically. Katrina’s group classes are fantastic—they create a supportive and welcoming environment for dogs of all levels to learn. The first class we attended Birdie was terrible and Katrina & many of the regulars reassured me to stick with it and shared stories of how quickly she would improve. They were right and by our 3rd or 4th class she really began to fall in line. Last week, we were able to take Birdie to the farmers market for the first time, and she didn’t bark, jump, or pull. It was a real sign of how far we’ve come thanks to Katrina. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate trainer!

Katrina is quite literally a miracle worker! I adopted a bluetick coonhound from down south that happened to be deaf. He was a stray dog before being taken in so he had very few manners. I reached out to my community to ask for a dog trainer that worked with deaf dogs previously. Overwhelmingly, the responses favored Katrina and her business. I reached out to her and a couple others recommended to me and she responded in a very timely manner. Many others didn’t respond at all when they heard my dog was deaf. Not Katrina! She knew she could work with him. She was very professional from the start, setting up a phone call and explaining what she thought the best plan would be for my boy. The first training session at my house she had my DEAF dog sitting on command within 10 minutes. I was absolutely amazed. She explained everything I needed to do to work with him in detail and introduced me to different tools, such as the ecollar. I would have never thought to buy an ecollar previously, but Katrina explained how important and useful they are and even had me “shock” myself on the hand with the collar so I knew what my dog would feel. It didn’t hurt at all, felt more like static clothing than electrocution. She also was able to recommend harnesses, leashes and collars. As we continued our sessions my dog learned many more commands and became more comfortable around new dogs and being in new spaces! She regularly reminded me that a very important aspect of dog training is to make sure the dog is as safe as possible in the future because of the time and effort put into training. Her training is absolutely worth every single penny! She is also available via text to answer questions. My dog and I learned so much from Katrina. I highly recommend Katrina and It Is Pawzable Dog Training for any training needs!!
