It's PAWSible! Dog Training Center

We have known Beth for 15 years. These are our second generation of dogs and we wouldn't think of letting them grow up anywhere but It's Pawsible. After puppy training, we still continue to attend agility class weekly. Both dogs have benefited tremendously from their experiences at Its Pawsible. When we have them out or people come over, we routinely get compliments on their outstanding behavior.

Both of my dogs have trained, boarded and camped at It's Pawsible. They started in puppy class and learned basic commands but more importantly, they learned how to socialize with other dogs. Attending day camp weekly they continue to interact with new dogs and old friends in a very safe, monitored environment. We've never had an incident with our dogs or to our dogs and I believe it is because of this training and experiences. I also appreciate the coaching I get with the understanding that my consistency and response has a lot to do with my dogs' reactions. Six years later and we could not be happier.

We first went to It's Pawsible 15 years ago when we got an extremely exuberant yellow lab, our first dog, and we had no idea what to do with all that energy. We desperately needed to be trained as dog owners and It's Pawsible was just the right place to train us. We took puppy, obedience, and recall classes and brought our lab to day camp for several years. The staff was wonderful, caring, communicative, and kind, and our lab learned to play with all kinds and sizes of dogs. But best of all, we learned how to be good dog owner/trainers. A couple of months ago we got a new puppy, and we headed straight back to Its Pawsible for our training classes. It's still a beautiful, clean, state of the art facility staffed with kind and caring people and we are so glad it's still there!

We have used It’s PAWSible for the last 8 months for day camp, boarding, puppy obedience training, and general advice. My experience with this business is excellent and I have complete trust that the welfare of our dog and all of the dogs are the top priority. This is a business that has established policies and procedures that have worked well for them over a long time. You must be willing to adhere to these policies to be happy here. Beth Ostrowski and her staff run a safe, clean, and enthusiastic day camp program in which our Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Emma, has thrived. She’s a high+ energy dog and the twice a week schedule gives her great dog socialization and romping time, and gives me a break! We had to board Emma when she was just 3 ½ months old to attend a family wedding in England - not a happy prospect but made much less stressful since we knew Beth and Emma knew the staff. We had wanted to keep Emma with us until mid-day of our departure and then drop her off. Since it was a Sunday Beth was insistent that Emma come for the morning play time. To be honest I wasn’t thrilled with this until Beth and I spoke and she explained her reasoning – that it would be less traumatic for the pup to have several hours in her kennel in the afternoon if she were worn out by playing all morning. This is perhaps the perfect example of this business. Beth’s insistence was for the greater good of the dog, but it initially seemed overly rigid. Beth’s willingness to discuss the point made all the difference. We attended 6 weeks of basic obedience class that were well designed, well presented, and a great chance to see other puppies and their particular issues. What I might have labelled as unnecessary repetition (your puppy is a newbie for the first 3 weeks and then a senior for the next 3 weeks) I now see as a structured way to revisit the work and make it solid. We will be continuing with Agility this fall and both Emma and I are looking forward to it. Beth is a wealth of knowledge and I have found her to be very generous in her sharing of it. She pointed me to several important resources when we were deciding the timing of Emma’s spay that led to our decision to wait until she is done with her growth (about 14 months). At another time I was uncomfortable with the fact that Emma had begun to show some skittishness with strangers who reached out to pet her and Beth was great in helping me to see that this was a stage not a long term problem. If you are looking for great individual flexibility in a program then perhaps this isn’t the best fit. But if you’re looking for excellent care and training, a great day camp environment, and a really excellent professional resource It’s PAWSible is the one!
