J Mac K-9 Dog Training

It’s wonderful to see is still training. He was wonderful with our Max. He trained Max about 14 years ago and Max has since passed at 12, 4years ago. Max was a an American bulldog and stubborn as heck. John brought out the sweetest side of him and max was a joy to walk. He also trained my Reba 10who passed 3 years ago. He’s a great guy and has such a wonderful way with animals! If I ever get another big dog John is my only choice of training.

We had concerns about our 3 year old lab mix Oakley, with lack of socialization and obedience. A friend recommended we go talk to John. We went and met with him for a free consultation where he got to meet us &Oakley and evaluate him. We decided to do the board and train. John was very persistent as our dog took a while to warm up to him. Once he did, he started training him immediately and were so glad we brought him there. We now have confidence and control over our dog on walks, at home, when people come over our house, and he is now even less anxious. We truly can not recommend J Mac enough!!! John is amazing. We took our Basenji to him. Basenji’s are African hunting dogs and are known to be one of the most stubborn breeds. Basenjis have only become domesticated over the past few generations. John is experienced with Basenjis and was AMAZING with our boy, Groot. Along with being stubborn they are highly intelligent and John knew exactly what would work with him. John doesn’t just train your dog but he teaches us owners too. John was observant of Groot’s mood through all training classes and if he became stressed John immediately stopped the training for that session explaining how it would be counterproductive. I am so very pleased with the results and honestly can’t believe how quickly John accomplished it.
