J Mac K-9 Dog Training

My husband and I took our 4 month old pup Harley for board and train at J Mac K-9. She was a typical nippy, yappy German Shepherd puppy and our 3-year old granddaughter was terrified of her. We opted to do the in house board and train. After three weeks we got the call that Harley was ready to come home. When we got there to pick her up, Melanie did a presentation before the pup knew we were there. We were absolutely AMAZED by what they accomplished with her in just a few short weeks!! Her board and train is followed by a few short lessons on how to reinforce and continue what she learned at home and we get unlimited support if we ever have questions or issues! Sending our girl to J Mac K-9 was without a doubt the BEST decision we could have made!! Harley and our granddaughter are now the best of friends!! Thank you Melanie and John. You guys rock!

My wife and I hired JMAC to train our highly reactive dog. We worked with John and Melanie and they kept our dog for a board and train for ten weeks. I highly recommend them! This was the best money I ever spent. Our dog is doing awesome and his reactivity has significantly lessened and is now more calm. If you need a trainer call them you won’t be disappointed. We are having another one of our dogs evaluated next week.

Can you really put a price on an impressively well behaved dog?...Everyone has a limit, but the joy we now have walking our dog Nala, down our busy and distracting bike path, is purely sublime. After 15 days of the "Board & Train" plan we chose, our dog now has abilities that didnt seem possible. She heals while we walk and when I stop she sits, all the while constantly watching me for her next command. Stay, sit, down and come are a breeze for her now...FINALLY no more jumping on guests at our front door!!! Now, let me tell you, this isn't always rainbows and unicorns... Its work for us dog owners to stay on top of this too. You can't set it and forget it, its a bit of effort here and there. No animal is perfect and every dog has a different personality. My dog has an attitude like my wife 😁 , so don't think this training will change in that sense. They will come out of this training with comprehension and respect. Thank you John for taking Nala in your home and giving her this opportunity to learn. I appreciate you. Melanie, you are a rock star. You not only gave us comfort being a vet tech for 20 years, you truly cared and loved our Nala during her two weeks. It was obvious how she adored you. We are so thank you for your efforts and changing how we can be in public with our pet. Thanks again for checking up on us and texting back and forth with my wife...very comforting. We will definitely be back for a fun follow up! *Those of you searching, stop...I didnt it for you. This trainer is the real deal. They dont advertise, yet they are always busy. True training and true care. Most vets in Atlantic County will recommend J Mac...give them a call*
