Jabula Dog Academy

We had a wonderful experience with Jabula and our dog’s trainer, Robert! He always kept us up-to-date with Manny’s progress and built a great relationship with him. He was everything you could want in a dog trainer, like Cesar Milan—positive reinforcement, a calm demeanor, and overall effective teaching! We sent Manny there for board and train because his anxiety was causing his behaviors to escalate once he got comfortable in our home. They were becoming totally unmanageable and the only way we would be able to live peacefully with him was if we all had some direction. I regret to admit I thought he might need to be sent off up North to hunt or something. We were a little skeptical because Manny had to stay an extra week and Robert himself told us it wouldn’t be the end of our journey with Jabula! His words were “he wasn’t quite where I wanted him to be,” but when we got Manny home yesterday we were so pleasantly surprised. Once he realized he was back home, his spirit was renewed and he had/has a level of confidence we have never seen before. He’s so happy and aiming to please. He is our dog forever. He doesn’t need to be sent away to live with a hunter. Robert says he doesn’t really like to work that much, anyways. Not to say he doesn’t need lots and lots of mental and physical exercise!! We are looking forward to keeping him on track with his in-home evaluation and free classes at Jabula for life! This really isn’t the end. Today he is healing nicely on his walks and is requiring minimal prompts with his door manners. We have a cot on the way to strengthen his “place.” If we had the money, we would send our other dog, too. Totally worth it!
