Jane Trains

We would give 10 stars to Jane. She is an amazing dog trainer/person trainer, the best we have ever experienced in the 33 years of having dogs. Her approach is very different in that it is based on positive reinforcement. We feel that most of the training is with us, more than our puppy, as we have lots to learn about dog training with Jane's approach. Our standard poodle puppy has become more socialized at Jane's doggy day care. Jane's private puppy training has focused on what we have needed to train our puppy. We will continue with Jane's training for many months to come until Sierra is able to become certified as a service dog. We are anticipating that when Jane offers agility and other programs, we will participate in these other programs, once we master the basics. Jane is an asset to Taos and is treasured by her clients!

Jane has not only taught me how to train my shelter rescue dog Nubi to sit, come, stay, walk off leash, etc, but she has also showed me how to truly communicate with Nubi and have a better understanding of her body language and her ways of communicating with me. I am constantly gaining insight and tools from Jane during her training sessions on how to build a loving, compassionate, and learning environment for Nubi. Nubi once was a very timid, skinny, anxious dog who was scared of almost everything. Now she is a playful goofball who loves belly rubs and looks forward to adventures and training sessions (and has a lot more meat on her bones:). And lastly I'd like to say how helpful taking her to doggy day care at Jane's has been. Nubi is now very sociable with other dogs and loves to go and see her doggy friends. Thank you Jane for everything!! It has been an amazing journey:)

Jane has helped us so much with our three rescue dogs! I had struggled for years with recall with our oldest dog, who now comes back right away, and she's helped us improve the dynamic amongst the dogs immensely. Jane always has such great insight into what our dogs might be thinking or feeling, and they are so much happier when she helps us get it! They are always so excited to go to daycare with Jane.
