Jared Horton’s K9 LLC

We couldn’t be happier with Jared and our experience with him! From the very beginning, Jared has been amazing with our German Shepherd, Knox. He has taught Knox SO much, and we are constantly amazed by how much he has learned and how far he has come. Jared is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated, and you can truly tell how much he cares about the dogs he works with. Knox recently earned his Advanced Obedience Training Certification, and we couldn’t be more proud of him and everything Jared has helped him accomplish! We decided to take our pup, Deuce to Jared after running into one of his other students out in public. I was amazed at how well behave this pup was and was at my wits end with our little guy. Deuce was afraid of the car and steps, and had a few behaviors we wanted to nip. The couple raved about their experience with Jared so we gave it a go. Jared met with us right away and before taking any money, had Deuce getting into the car on his own. We met a few times individually and then worked into group classes. Jared gave us so many tools and above all the confidence and knowledge to work with our little guy. We learned quickly it was as much about training us as it was our dog. He helped us build a stronger relationship with our dog and prepared us for any situation that we might face. Deuce graduated last night, but Jared encouraged us to pop into classes any time to continue our practice. Jared truly is the best and has such a passion for what he does. I wished I could add a second review…. We finally (4months later) got to use Jared for boarding, and he was fantastic! It felt nice to know our boy was in good hands. Our pup had just healed from a hot spot and Jared monitored him closely for the 10 days we were gone to ensure no others popped up. Deuce came home happy and healthy. We are so very thankful for Jared and his huge heart for our boy!

I used Jared Horton’s K9 LLC for both training and boarding. Jared is very knowledgeable and intuitive about what a dog needs, and his love for and commitment to dogs shows in his work. In my situation, we have been working to help my timid dog get better about venturing away from home and encountering new places and people. Jared has taught me techniques to use that encourage and support her in facing her fears while at the same time not overwhelming her. Highly recommend!
