Jaybird Dog Training

Shea does an awesome job training dogs! We did a 3 week board and train for our lab who was timid around new people (specifically males) and kids. When we got Bentley back he was like a new dog! I’ve been able to take him out to stores like Lowe’s and Farm & Fleet where he happily greets people walking into the store. Our walks are also so much more enjoyable now as he’s not pulling on the leash anymore. I highly recommend Jaybird Dog Training! We hope to continue doing classes/one on one time with Shea!

Just finished our first lesson with Shea! We purchased 4 lessons from him for our two dogs together. The first lesson we jumped right into it after a short history. He was very direct in what we want to achieve and looked at our two pups individually. One of our dogs is high energy/ excitable and the other is more sensitive. He showed how to approach them differently and avoid their typical responses of one jumping up and the other running away scared. You will NOT be disappointed by choosing lessons with Shea!

Shea is not only a phenomenal dog trainer but also a phenomenal human. My wife and i just had to move into an apartment for the first time. My dog arya was not introduced to people very well and would bark and seem very aggressive towards people. The first meet we had with Shea, he assured us that she is not aggressive at all. She was scared of the world. He trained that right out of her and made her so confident in the world. Prior to her training she would pull the leash on every walk. She would try to be the boss. Now, she is calm cool and collected on our walks. If you are looking for a trainer, look no further. Shea is undoubtedly the best trainer i have ever met.

Though we’ve worked intentionally with our 5-month old English lab, we still had lots of questions, concerns and desired further guidance to make sure our pup continued becoming his best self. When Shea came highly recommended- I knew we should reach out and we are SO glad we did. His responding communication was prompt and we were able to make an appointment for him to come to our home. During his visit he provided attentive, caring encouragement and teaching not just for us as owners- but for our dog as well. We look forward to utilizing Jaybird Training again the future!
