There were times I doubted if Trillium and I could meet our goal of certification. Jenn encouraged us all of the way. Jenn has the heart of a teacher; she was direct with changes that I needed to make as a handler and I also I knew I could trust her goodwill towards us. Further, Jenn and her team offer structured training, beginning with Level 1, that built the skills we needed to pass the Canine Good Citizen Test and our certification test as a Therapy Dog Team. Jen helped me with a highly reactive and big emotions herding dog this year - my dog has gone from reacting to the slightest movements with aggressive herding behaviors to being able to re-direct her big emotions by focusing on me for stability and assurance. I can not stress enough the improvement of my and my dogs quality of life together after working with Jen. My dog and myself are now trained in helping each other manage and navigate big emotions when we are around her triggers, both in and out of the home. We have a large Great Pyrenees mix puppy. We were at wits end. We could not train him. He was just energetic and wild. Jenn helped us in so many ways. Her approach to dog training is with respect of the animal, his instincts, needs, and desires. She is very conscious of the humans relationship to the dog as well. She quickly realized and was able to help me with my fear around being with such a large dog, since he knocked me down twice. She is not only a dog whisperer but she understands the dynamic between the human and dog relationship.
She is masterful. I highly recommend this business. I can’t say enough. We took
Level one in a group session. Level two was private.
