Jensen Canines Behavioral Dog Training

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with dog training. I have a 2 year old labradoodle who is full of energy and we did not have all of the tools or resources to help her. Jacque came to our home weekly to work directly with us in our own environment which I believe made a huge difference. She was extremely organized and gave us a binder full of helpful resources that we could refer back to. Now that our in person training has come to an end I plan to still use this binder moving forward! I am confident in the skills we have learned and we now receive so many compliments of how much better our pup is behaving!

Luke came to us at three months old — starving, sick, and terrified of everything. What started as a shy puppy quickly revealed itself to be deep fear: fear of strangers, fear of other dogs, fear of ceiling fans, fear of being brushed. By the time I found Jacqué at Jensen Training, I was overwhelmed and he was reactive in ways I didn't know how to address. Working with Jacqué once a week for several months changed both of our lives. She taught Luke to accept a muzzle, meet new people, and walk past dogs and strangers without reacting. She taught me how to recognize his triggers, respond with patience and clarity, and stop making things worse without realizing it. The brushing alone felt like a miracle — he used to curl his lip and show teeth at the attempt. Now he tolerates it. What makes Jacqué exceptional isn't just her knowledge. It's her calm. She has a genuine empathy for dogs who don't fit the standard mold, the ones who came into the world or into your home without the foundation most dogs get. She never made Luke feel like a problem to be fixed. She met him where he was. If your dog is fearful, reactive, or just struggling to navigate daily life — call her. I can't imagine where Luke and I would be without her.

Well, we jumped into the deep end after losing one of our Corgis and decided it would be a good idea to get two new Corgi puppies, female siblings at that. They were just so cute. So, with a 14 year old Corgi and two new puppies, we quickly realized that we were in way over our heads. Jacque’ to the rescue… Having never worked with a trainer before, we weren’t sure what to expect. Every week she arrived (always on time I should add) with printed documents that we would go over and add to our binder. After first explaining the “lesson” for the week and discussing any issues we may have had since her last visit, Jacque’ would demonstrate the proper techniques and methods for breaking the bad habits that our stubborn Corgi puppies had already developed. In the end, Jacque’ wasn’t just training the dogs. She was training us. She was always professional and understanding of our frustrations. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of training - your dog(s) will appreciate her as much as you will.
