Journey Agility Dog Training & Behavior

I'm not somebody who usually writes reviews, but I am somebody who loves dogs. I have trained and competed with dogs for many years and you can't do better training agility than with Alicia. She has competed at the highest levels, understands what it takes for both the handler and the dog, and communicates so that even a unexperienced novice, which I once was, can understand. Professional equipment, clean, safe environment adds up to a fun time for both handler and dog with an encouraging, engaging, and at times colorful instructor

One of my dogs is highly sensitive. That made competing in agility with her difficult. Things upset her easily and she could "shut down" in a second. Alicia taught me techniques to help her relax and focus. More importantly, she taught me how to better interpret her behavior and respond accordingly. It made a huge difference. My dog can still get upset and not want to run, but those instances are far less. We were able to compete at a regional event and end up on the podium. I believe this is because of Alicia's coaching. The unexpected benefit I got from training is that I was able to adjust my own expectations and I now enjoy events regardless of outcome. One of Alicia's strengths is how positive she is about every dog, regardless of if it's going to compete in a sport or not. She enjoys figuring out solutions and seeing every dog thrive, regardless of if it's a competitive dog or not. I would recommend her for agility, tricks, obedience and confidence building. My sensitive dog is also leash reactive, my training with Alicia has also helped my dog to improve on leash. I still have to keep an eye on her, but she is much improved and she can go to trials and do well.
