5 Stars is not enough praise for the work K9 Defense did with our dogs. Aubrie, Savannah, and Chris were great from the initial evaluation, updates during their training and working with us so we had the tools to keep up the work they did. Aubrie has been helpful whether its answering my questions or walking me through a difficult moment and how to handle my dogs reaction. I will not be able to say thank you enough for helping Anubis and Kona. Anubis would have had a very different life if it wasn’t for their guidance and mentorship even after he left.

The team at K-9 Defense is an absolute dream. Our beautiful, gigantic, reactive dog went from a super scary, challenging situation to a more confident and less aggressive angel face. Savannah was our lead trainer, she was so patient and informative. We legitimately could not have done it without her. From initial bootcamp to integrated training, home visits, follow up texts, boarding and refresher sessions, we trust these guys with everything. Thanks for bringing so much hospitality to the dog training space!

After extensive research of training options for our dog, Norman, we finally found ourselves at K9 Defense. Norman is a very energetic goofy Boxer. A nearly 70 pound rolling ball of energy! We were reluctant to do board and train. The main reason was, we had adopted Norman from a shelter, and feared he would think we were deserting him. Chris took a great deal of time talking to us about our options, answered every one of our questions. Initially, we opted for single weekly sessions to work with a professional trainer, Savanna. At the very first session, Savanna made us comfortable and explained everything she was teaching us and our dog. She’s 100 percent amazing! It didn’t take long to realize that it would take us months to get the results we were looking for. We realized that more intensive training with Savanna was the route that would better suit our and Norman’s needs. So we opted for board and train, but we didn’t want him to be gone for several weeks! We would miss him too much! We were able to board and train Monday thru Friday and he would come home and train with us on the weekends. This was perfect! Norman’s primary trainer was Savanna. She was awesome! We dropped off Norman on Monday mornings, he trained with Savanna all week. Savanna kept us updated with photos and text messages about Norman’s progress. We would pick Norman up on Friday afternoons. We had a training session with Savanna and then head home to continue what we and Norman had learned for the week. This proved to be perfect. We had been concerned that Norman would miss us………I was wrong! Each Monday morning that we dropped him off for his week of training, he was wagging his tail. As soon as he saw Savanna his whole butt wiggled! Clearly he was enjoying K9 Defense and all that it had to offer! Once Norman completed his board and train, we had several additional training sessions at home and out in public with Savanna. These sessions were incredibly beneficial. Throughout the entire training process, Savanna was very helpful. Always made sure that we had clear picture of what was needed for Norman to succeed in his training. On the weekends at home, Savanna was always a text message away if we had concerns. I would whole heartedly reach out to K9 Defense in the future if I were to find I wanted to continue Norman’s training to an even higher level!

Savanna @K9 Defense completely transformed our dog and honestly changed our lives. Rocco, was highly reactive to people and other dogs. He was jumping and becoming more difficult to safely control because of is size and strength. We were overwhelmed and worried about his future. ( Cane Corso 1.5 years old) Rocco spent 9 weeks with Savanna and the dog that came home hardly seemed like the same dog. He is calm, obedient, focused, and truly 100%less reactive. The transformation has been unbelievable and unexpected. We can now enjoy him instead of constantly being stressed and anxious. Savanna clearly had incredible knowledge, patience and experience, especially with a powerful breed like ours. She didn’t just train our dog- she gave us a peace of mind and a completely different relationship with him. If you are struggling with a reactive dog and wondering if training can really make a difference, K9 Defense is worth every penny. We are beyond grateful for what Savanna did for Rocco.

We cannot recommend Savanna Harris at K9 Defense highly enough for the incredible training she provided to our German Shepherd, Nyx. Most importantly, the bond and communication between us and Nyx have strengthened tremendously. Savanna’s dedication, patience, and expertise are truly outstanding. She clearly cares deeply about every dog she trains and is committed to helping both dogs and their owners succeed. It is rare to find someone with her level of skill, integrity, and passion.
