K.O. Dog Training

We enlisted the services of K.O. Dog Training to assist with the training and socialization of our 5 month old black lab Elvis. Philip was our dog trainer and we found him to be knowledgeable, organized, and transparent with goals and expectations with the agreed upon plan for Elvis' development. Over the course of six sessions, Philip provided us with guidance, tools, and the foundation to help us work with Elvis and help him gain skills with listening and following basic commands such as come, sit, down, and stay, which he now executes proficiently on command. Additionally, Philip's service dog Kiki was amazingly helpful with Elvis' socialization. When we started our sessions, Elvis was afraid of any dog and very timid; by the last session he was playful and engaged with Kiki and, more importantly, is now well adjusted, curious, and receptive to interaction with other dogs. I will say this: we were very invested in our dog's training and we spent alot of time in between sessions at home implementing the tools and knowledge provided to us in each session. We feel this was integral to the effectiveness of the program. Thank you to Philip and Kiki for your partnership in Elvis' development! We highly recommend K.O. Dog Training.

We completed Max’s Basic Obedience course May 2024 with K.O. Dog Training. Max is almost a 2 year old German Shepherd and if he stands on his hind legs he is taller than I am at 5’5. Biggest flex is that I have the control on walks and I’m not being dragged down the road 😂 He’s a 90 pound beast of a dog and his leash obedience has gone from 0 to 100%. Over the past 6 weeks we’ve learned the following together! Sit Stay Come Fetch Catch Down Look Leave it Bonding Leash walking Doggie manners Better engagement during playtime Way more than I bargained for, or expected. Phillip & Michele were absolutely lovely people to work with. Phillip is prior military and gave Max and I 100% during training sessions. Max has gained confidence and trust in me, and at home he is more relaxed and more engaged in any activities we do together. We still have a lot to work on but Phillip has given us both the confidence we need to keep pushing and be better! I can’t thank him enough. I’ll definitely be coming back to further Max’s education.

K.O. Dog Training is amazing. Philip helped our family with a very reactive dog. We have a dog that had little control over his behavior. After 6 weeks, it seemed like we had a new dog. Not only did he help train Milo, but he educated us about our dog and the "why" behind everything he taught Milo and us. Additionally, Philip would consult with us as needed between Milo's sessions. Philip offers private obedience classes. Honestly, I feel like anyone else may have turned us away after the first class b/c Milo was a tough case.
