We cannot say enough great things about Nino, Taylor, and the team at K9! A year after losing our 14 year old GSD mix, our family decided it was time to bring a new fur-member into the family, Koda. We’ve have had experience with puppies before but did not account for the added struggles of juggling all things puppy with having a 2 year old! Even at 11 weeks old, Koda has always had a very mild and gentle temperament with our son; she minded well to basic commands from my husband, but would regularly treat me as a litter mate and chew toy. At first, it was playful but then started to get more rough. This is where we decided Koda deserved dedicated training that quite frankly we did not have the bandwidth to do ourselves. We had always used K9 for boarding with our previous pup and knew how lovely the whole team was so when picking where to send our girl, K9 was a no brainer! After consulting with Nino, we chose to enroll Koda in the 8-week board and train program. Best. Decision. Ever! She’s been back with us for a couple months now and we could not be more elated with how she has progressed! She still has her playful puppy-isms but when we need to communicate with her, both she and our family have the right tools to do so.

We had a wonderful experience boarding our dog, Appa. The staff was friendly, caring, and treated him like family. Appa was having skin issues when he stayed with them, and they carefully followed all of the medication instructions we provided. When we picked him up, his skin looked great and he had no rashes, which showed us that they took his care seriously and paid close attention to his needs. Appa is usually very particular about people and doesn't warm up to everyone right away, but he really likes Jess. Seeing how comfortable and happy he was around her gave us even more confidence that he was being well cared for and loved during his stay. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. We are very grateful for the excellent care they provided and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their pet.

I can’t say enough good things about K9 Academy International. Casimir is our 9-month-old Rottweiler. We’ve owned Rottweilers for over 20 years, but when Casimir was about 7 months old, we were dealing with some behavior issues we’d never experienced before. He’s always been a good boy, but some of his behaviors were directed toward me, and only me, and we honestly didn’t know how to address them. We’d already been taking him to daycare at K9 Academy International, so when we realized he needed more help, we decided to enroll him in their 8 week board-and-train program. It was absolutely the right decision. Nino, Taylor, Amber, and the entire staff have been incredible. Their expertise, professionalism, and care showed through every step of the process. They took the time to understand Casimir, address the problem behaviors, and teach us how to continue that work at home. We’ve only had Casimir back for three days, and the change is remarkable. Before, I had tears of frustration. Now, I have tears of joy. The issues we were struggling with have been addressed, but he’s still the same happy, energetic puppy we love. He hasn’t lost his personality at all. He’s just better guided, more confident, and easier for us to communicate with. We know that as long as we stay consistent and continue the training, he’ll keep thriving. It also gives us so much peace of mind knowing that if we run into any issues or Casimir ever needs a brush-up, K9 Academy International will be there for us. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done for Casimir and for our family. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate dog training.
