K9 Curriculum | Dog Grooming & Dog Training in Waynesville, Canton, and Asheville

I brought my dog, Titan, today for his first private training session. I talked to many local trainers and to be frank they were incredibly expensive-$1200 for a session a week for six weeks and often more depending on what you wanted to work on. The woman, Calisa, who owns the barn I ride horses at recommended k9 curriculum and I really value Calisa’s opinion so I immediately reached out knowing this was where I was going to go. My first shock-they are affordable. Their rates are such basically anyone can afford to come here and get training for their dog and we are immensely lucky that is available to us as a community. So often dog training is $1000 and up and it’s just not realistic for so many people to spend that on the first few weeks of training. K9 curriculum offers both private and group training. The trainer we worked with today, whose name I don’t recall, was lovely! She’s very knowledgeable, patient, and just fun to be around. I normally don’t like doing things in front of people, so practicing the training exercises in front of a trainer would normally make me nervous. I really wasn’t with her because she is a very warm and kind person and doesn’t make you feel like you are being judged while still getting the hang of a training exercise. AND at the end of his session I was able to get his nails trimmed. He isn’t the best with getting his nails done and she was patient but efficient ensuring it was as positive and fast for him as possible. I cannot recommend k9 curriculum enough and I really hope we as a community show them the support they deserve because I cannot stress how lucky we are to have a quality, affordable dog training option in our community. This quality of training really doesn’t exist for the price k9 curriculum offers it to us at anywhere else-trust me, I have looked!
